                                                                                       The 1881 Census lists about 57 resident children aged between 5 and
                                                                                       15 under the tutelage of the Master, George Roberts with his sister
                                                                                       Rebecca, who was the Matron.The Master's House (Brandon House)
                                                                                       was thought to have been built in the late 1800's.
                                                                                       All of the house names that we have given to the properties are the

                                                                                       Two large newer blocks were built at the rear of the site in the late
                                                                                       50's, it was at this time that teaching ceased at the school and the site
                                                                                       was just a children's home and continued to be until it's closure in the
                                                                                       early 1980's.
