School area and the village is within the catchment area
for Aylesbur y Grammar and High Schools for which

A picturesque feature in the summer months is the
steam trains on the restored Icknield line, which runs
from Chinnor through the village of Bledlow to Princes
Risborough. Access to the M40 (junctions 5 and 6 Sto-
kenchurch and Lewknor) is approximately 6 miles.
Perryfield Court is situated on the edge of the pretty village of Bledlow. Bledlow is an idyllic village with an elegant

Restored and fitted to create 5 beautiful homes, sitting in a beautiful
position in the village of Bledlow, Perryfield Court has been the sub-
ject of an exacting restoration. The main "U" shaped building was for-
merly the Parish Workhouse. The centre section being built around
1800, it was then extended with the 2 wings in the late 1830's to
Brandon House house approximately 120 people.
Roberts Place Burnham House It was built on part of the land known as Perryfield. By the 1850's it
became the Wycombe Union Residential School for Boys and Girls.
The 1881 Census lists about 57 resident children aged between 5 and
15 under the tutelage of the Master, George Roberts with his sister
Rebecca, who was the Matron.The Master's House (Brandon House)
was thought to have been built in the late 1800's.
All of the house names that we have given to the properties are the
Ashbury House Britnall House family names of children who were resident at the school during these
Laystone House early years, often several siblings were in attendance at the same time.
Two large newer blocks were built at the rear of the site in the late
50's, it was at this time that teaching ceased at the school and the site
was just a children's home and continued to be until it's closure in the
early 1980's.
The exacting specification includes Individual hand built kitchens, swish

Aldridge House solid oak doors and matching door frames. Most of the houses have fire-
places and some have log burning stoves. In all, the building retains the
original character with a number of particular features and some exposed
