GET INVOLVED / THIS IS ON US – Global Finals CBC Global Finals creates an opportunity for your organization in terms of being exposed to a multicultural creative entrepreneurial environment during this two-day event. During the Global Finals, you will meet with like-minded organizations, other National Partners, investors and the best creative startups from all around the world. Creative Business Cup Global Finals are held in June 2021 . Only National Winners from National Final events organized by our National Partners are eligible to be a part of the main pitching contest. During the Global Finals, we create an op- portunity for all creative startups around the world to introduce their ideas to a panel of investors interested in global, regional or local creative markets. Their concepts must have market potential. • Own the rights to the idea with which he or she is entering the competition. • Be registered as a legal entity in their country. • Not have received more than 1,000,000 USD of external capital investment in the past. How can startups win the competition? The winners of Creative Business Cup will be startups that: Show a high level of creativity and present a business concept with great market potential, which resulted from extraordinary business execution. Creativity: • Change the value chains of the Creative Industries or use creative compe- tencies to change the value chains in other industries. Think innovation and disruption. • Rely on creative skills as a key to the success of the business. • Engage customers or others in creative processes. • Innovate in terms of their product or service, social relations, customer approach, markets or other areas. Market potential: • Investment potential. • Scalability. • Unique value propositions. • Create and impact new markets. • Present a strong overview of the existing market situation. • Present a good understanding of risks and possibilities. STEP TWO / ORGANIZE NATIONAL FINALS • Latest by 15 April 2021. • Find sponsors and partners within the CI ecosystem in your country • Secure venue, catering and attendance of relevant media • • Find 10 to 15 professional startups, who match the participation criteria • Use our free competition management platform to screen your startups • 12 NATIONAL PARTNER | GUIDE 202 1
STEP THREE / SEND NATIONAL WINNER TO GLOBAL FINALS • In 26-29 June (a fantastic experience for everyone) • Help the winner to obtain visa. • • Secure accommodation for four days for the winner. • Help the winner to upload their business concept to our platform for Global Finals 2021 - mandatory requirement for participation in the final pitch. YOU WILL RECEIVE / WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU • Two attendee full-passes for the entire event (one for the National Winner and one for you) • Support from the Creative Business Network. • Access to our network of partner organizations from around the world. • Invitations to relevant CBN webinars for startups and our stakeholders. • Media exposure and chance to be featured via our media and communica - tion channels. • Access to an online screening platform, which will be a big help for organizing your competition and selecting your National Winner. RETROSPECTIVE: A sampling of the winning startups over the years Winner in 2019: LAPEE (Denmark) Simplicity, safety and efficiency. For the first time, Lapee allows women to pee quickly, safely and hygienically during outdoor events, or anywhere the toilets are pressured. Lapee is the world’s first female version of the industrialized outdoor urinals. Winner in 2018: 6DEGREES (Israel) 6Degrees works as an adaptive, motion-based, learning algorithm implemented within a hands-free controller that connects to all operating systems and simulates a finger on a touchscreen, joystick or mouse. Winner in 2017: CELLROBOT (China) Years ahead of its time, CellRobot is the newest and smartest modular robot available. With a heart, multiple cells, and a little bit of imagination, the users harness the power of their very own robot. Winner in 2016: GREEN CITY SOLUTIONS (Germany) Green City Solutions present an urban tree covered by moss cultures that consumes particular matter, nitrogen dioxide and ozone with the same effect as 275 natural urban trees. The CityTree provides clean and cool air and in a Winner in 2015: BLITAB (Austria) multi-functional device for Braille reading and writing that displays one whole friends and navigate back to their homes. Winner in 2014: PROFESSOR WHY (Poland) Professor Why is an interactive computer game teaching science.
