Investing in local farms through donations or community service work will help these organizations produce food on a larger scale and cater to a wider variety of individuals. Trash Rates Increase Order Smaller Trash Can By June 1 The Hailey City Council authorized an increase in trash rates to go into effect June 1, 2021. These new rates set a variable rate on current services. Larger trash cans will cost more per gallon than smaller trash cans. Residents and businesses may be able to pay less by switching to a smaller trash receptacle and recycling more. A brochure on how to maximize recycling opportunities is enclosed. Hailey recycling is unlimited, and includes curbside pick-up of plastic, paper, aluminum and tin, and drop-off of corrugated cardboard and glass at a recycling drop-off site, combined with spring and fall yard-waste collection at Hailey’s drop-off site. To order a smaller trash can, call Clear Creek Disposal. The delivery/exchange fees to switch to a smaller cart, which is $33.90, is waived for a limited time.
