ANIMATION TEAM’S DEBUT
This was a month for the DNEG history books as the very first
trailer of our very first full-length animated feature, ‘Ron’s
Gone Wrong’ officially dropped!
The result of years of hard work by our incredible Feature
Animation team, the trailer gives a first peek at this
heartwarming story of friendship and acceptance. The film
follows Barney, an awkward 11-year-old who finds himself
suddenly linked to Ron, a robot with more than a few quirks of
his own.
Created in partnership with our friends at Locksmith
Animation, this movie is set to hit theatres on October 22nd. In
the meantime, head over to our Instagram to get to know our

NEW BANGALORE OFFICE
ANNOUNCED!
There was excitement in the air this month as we
celebrated the announcement of our new studio
location in Bangalore!
Known as India’s ‘Silicon Valley’, Bangalore’s
international reputation as a global leader in
technology and innovation made it the perfect fit for
our eighth studio location. We look forward to
welcoming aboard the incredible artists and
technicians that call this vibrant city home.
Our new Bangalore team members will work
alongside our global studios to continue to deliver
the best in visual effects in film and episodic
entertainment. We can’t wait to see what we can
accomplish together!

COVID-19
VACCINATION DRIVE
This month we joined forces with ReDefine and Prime Focus to organize and facilitate a
COVID-19 Vaccination Drive in support of our colleagues and their loved ones in India.
We’re delighted to share that these efforts resulted in over 3,000 individuals receiving their
vaccinations across Mumbai, Chennai, Chandigarh and Hyderabad.
Our deepest gratitude to our medical partners, our incredible teams and our diligent
volunteers for ensuring a safe and smooth process at every step. We’re proud to continue
to stand united alongside all our colleagues in India.

This month we announced two exciting new films in production!
First up, the romantic comedy adventure ‘Lost City of D’ pairs Sandra
Bullock and Channing Tatum as a reclusive writer and her cover model.
After their book tour goes awry, the two suddenly find themselves on a
jungle adventure.
Also on the horizon is director Eli Roth’s adaptation of the worldwide
video game phenomenon, ‘Borderlands’. Starring Jamie Lee Curtis and
Kevin Hart, the anticipation is already mounting for this ambitious
project.

Channing Tatum We’re thrilled to share that our Montreal studio’s 2021
recently shared this intake consists of nine up-and-coming VFX stars! Set to
behind-the-scenes begin their 20 week program on 19th of July, the group
shot from ‘Lost City of will start with 5 weeks of intensive generalist training.

Meanwhile, our London studio welcomes two budding
artists who will specialise in our Groom and Creature
departments. Their program begins 26th of July.
While details for our Vancouver program are still being
finalized, join us in the meantime by extending a warm
