Dear President Biden,

My name is Professor Zayan Islam and I work at a science labrotary in the city of Reo de
Janeiro. For many years I have been researching on the Amazon Rainforest with my team of
scientists.
I am writing today with deep concerns about the catastrophic effects of deforestation towards
the beautiful Amazon Rainforest. Can you believe that they are predicting by 2030, the
Amazon might have no more trees left. How do you feel about this President Biden? Don’t
you think we should stop this disaster from happening?

Firstly, I think we need to address the issue about the nabe group who are cutting down all
the trees in the Amazon rainforest causing destruction to the innocent plants and animals.
Isn’t this awful and depressing in your opinion? This needs to stop! Before it’s too late. I
believe action needs to be taken fast and the cutting down of trees needs to be stopped
immediately!

Secondly, we need to think about all those innocent people working and making a living from
the Amazon rainforest. Can we really let this happen and ruin their life just like that? I believe
that something extremely bad is going to happen to these people's lives, and that really
upsets me.

Finally, let’s not forget how important the Amazon rainforest is to our planet Earth. You need
to remember it regulates the world's carbon and oxygen cycles. Isn’t it time we woke up to
this issue? Do we want our planet to be damaged and ruined just like that?

I really hope that this letter will help you understand my worries on the issue of deforestation
and how it’s really affecting the Earth. Isn’t it time we stopped this deforestation, before it
makes global warming a massive problem for us all? I really hope that you take action and
stop the Nabe people continuing with the cutting down of rainforests. You have the power to
change this world for the better, and our hopes lie with your decisions.
