Charity Event November - December 2021
Dear Community Partners,
The holidays will be here soon and we need your help to make this season a success. Last year,
with the help of the community The Place Holiday House provided gifts for approximately 2,187
children. We anticipate this number increasing once again.
How You Can Help
Donations
We are asking for donations of toys and items to create a holiday gift shop for parents to fulfill the
wishes of over 2100 children.
If you would like to host a gift drive, please email HolidayHouse@theplaceofforsyth.org for
additional information and supplies. Or, if you would like to give financially or shop our online
wish list (Amazon), you can do so through our website: www.theplaceofforsyth.org/holidayhouse.
Checks, made out to “The Place,” memo "Holiday House 2021" can be mailed to:

**Remaining monetary resources at the close of The Place Holiday House 2021 will support
other youth programs and services provided by The Place of Forsyth.
Beginning November 15th – December 9th toy donations can be dropped off at various locations
throughout the county. Please check our website for drop off locations.
Opportunities to Volunteer
Due to continued COVID restrictions, we will be unable to accommodate our previous volunteer
opportunities. We know this has been a holiday tradition for many of you and we truly hope to
continue that tradition in 2022. Instead, we are asking you to focus your energies on collecting
gifts for these precious children as we expect to see an increase in the number of children we
will serve.
Families in Need
If any families within your organization need assistance, please email
HolidayHouse@theplaceofforsyth.org or refer them to their school social worker. We will make
sure they get the assistance they need.
Thank you for your support. We need the entire community’s help to make this event successful
so that we can bring joy to the children in our community.

In a few short months, the air will be filled with smells of the holidays and the atmosphere will carry
feelings of merriment, good wishes, and joy. For many in the Forsyth County area, however, the Holiday
season is met with stress, fear, and sadness. As these parents work to make it day-to-day, Christmas
morning is simply an expense they cannot afford.
Last year, The Place Holiday House helped these parents provide Christmas joy for over 2100 children.
We hope you'll let The Place Holiday House be your PURPOSE this holiday season!
How it Works
Parents Qualify Gifts Purchased & Donated Parents Shop
Our team of volunteers & The community provides new With points, parents shop in

North Pole Sponsor: $4,000+ | provide Holiday joy for 20 children
Elf Sponsor: $2,000 + | provide Holiday joy for 10 children
Snowman Sponsor: $1,000 + | provide Holiday joy for 5 children
Candy Cane Sponsor: $500 + | provide Holiday joy for 2 children
