NOTICE OF MAY 24, 2022 PREFERENTIAL PRIMARY, NONPARTISAN JUDICIAL GENERAL, ANNUAL SCHOOL BOARD, FORT SMITH SPECIAL & MIDLAND SPECIAL ELECTIONS The Board of Election Commissioners of Sebastian County, Arkansas, pursuant to Arkansas election law 7-5-202, does hereby proclaim that the Preferential Primary, Nonpartisan Judicial General and Annual School Board Elections will be held in Sebastian County, Arkansas, on Tuesday, May 24 2022. The election will submit to a vote of the electorate all candidates by name and office and all other measures and questions required by law to be submitted to the electors. To check your voter registration status and view a sample ballot go to www.voterview.org. Voters with address changes or questions related to voting eligibility, please call the County Clerk’s office at 782-5065 prior to Election Day. ABSENTEE VOTING: Available through the County Clerk’s office, Sebastian County Courthouses (Fort Smith - 35 South 6th Street or Greenwood - 11 Town Square) beginning April 8, 2022. Absentee ballot outer envelope processing will begin at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 17, 2022 and continue weekdays thereafter as necessary through Election Day (May 24). Opening of inner envelopes will begin May 24 2022 at 8:30 a.m. Early voting and absentee votes will be tabulated beginning at 7:30 p.m., on May 24 2022 at the following location: Sebastian County Elections’ Office 40 South 4th Street, Fort Smith, AR.
