LET’S GET BEHIND THE MIGHTY BLUES Welcome to today’s Cherry Red Combined Counties Premier Division North league game. We extend a warm welcome to this afternoon’s visitors Egham Town, the Sarnies joint managers Jordan Berry and Greg Phillips, their management team and players, along with the club’s committee and supporters, and wish you all a safe journey home after the game. Originally formed in 1877 as Runnymede Rovers, the club was reformed as Egham in 1905. Egham played in the Surrey Senior and Spartan Leagues before closing down during World War II. It wasn’t until December 1963 that, at a public meeting, the club was eventually reformed a third time as Egham Town. For the rest of the century the Sarnies played in various leagues beginning again in the Surrey and Spartan Leagues, and then the GARY BROWN Athenian, Isthmian and Southern Leagues, Southern to the Isthmian League at the before eventually joining NGU in the CCFL end of the 2017-18 season, Egham finished Premier Division in 2006.
