Safety Moment – High Temperatures • If your body is overheating, and you have a high temperature, bumps on your skin, muscle spasms, headache, dizziness, nausea or a few other symptoms, you may have one of the most common heat-related illnesses: heat rash, heat cramps, heat exhaustion or heat stroke. Heat illnesses range from mild to severe, and heat stroke can be deadly. • Heat Rash (also called prickly heat or miliaria), which is a stinging skin irritation that turns your skin red. • Heat Cramps, which are painful spasms in your muscles. • Heat exhaustion which is caused by too few fluids and long hours in high temperatures, causes heavy sweating, a fast and weak pulse and rapid breathing. • Heat Stroke, which is a life-threatening illness, happens when your temperatures rises above 106 degrees Fahrenheit (41 degrees Celsius) quickly – within minutes. • Your body sweats to keep itself cool. If temperatures and humidity are too high, sweating isn’t effective enough. Here a few safety tips to keep in mind when the temperatures rise: • Stay Hydrated • Wear protective clothing • Pace yourself • Limit outdoor activity • Schedule frequent breaks if you’re going to be working outside • Use sunscreen • Eat more frequently making sure meals are balanced and light • Eat more food items with higher water content like fruits and vegetables National Grid 4 May 12, 2022

Are DoingImpacts Potential Enough Today? The Company has seen the need for significant System Modifications in areas that are constrained and have large volumes of distributed generation seeking to interconnect. These modifications, at a high-level, include: • Potential Substation Work - New substation builds - Expansion of existing substation for new transformer and/or feeder positions - Replacement of existing substation transformers with higher rated units - Modification of substation bussing to accommodate additional feeder positions and clearance requirements - Installation or modifications of protection systems - Installation of new control house or modification of existing • Potential Distribution Line Work - Feeder reconductoring, extension, and area re-configuration ◦ Overhead and underground construction as required - Modification and/or addition of protective devices (ex. reclosers, etc.) - Modification and/or addition of power quality devices (ex. capacitors, regulators, etc.) This list is for reference and comparative purposes only & is not a conclusive list of the System Modifications required for the Group’s interconnection to the Company’s EPS. The Company will evaluate, without limitation, system conditions, capacity thresholds that trigger certain conditions, and System Modifications required to mitigate impacts for the Group through the Group Study. The Company’s study does not include system modifications that may be required by any ASO to mitigate impacts on the ASO electric power systems (if any), including the transmission system. National Grid 13 May 12, 2022
Are DoingStudy Common Enough Today? Area System Conditions At a high-level the Company has identified the following potential constraints in the area: • Distribution Loading Limits - Feeder Light Load Period Back Flow Loading - Feeder Peak Load Period Forward Flow Loading - Transformer Normal and Contingency Back/Forward Flow Loading • Physical/Construction Issues - West Andover #8 has plans to expand for 2 additional feeders. This expansion may limit space for additional feeder bays, new transformers and getaway space. - North Andover Junction #71 has limited space for an additional feeder bay, new transformers, and getaway space. • ASO study likely required - Formal outreach to ISO has not yet occurred - ASO study will affect timeframes - The Company will provide communication in accordance with the tariff This is a preliminary, non-binding, high-level assessment of the area and is not intended to be a complete or exhaustive list of the potential area constraints. System conditions can and do change frequently. The Company will evaluate, without limitation, system conditions, capacity thresholds that trigger certain conditions, and system modifications required to mitigate impacts for the Group through the Group Study. The Company’s assessments do not include potential constraints on any ASO electric power systems, including the transmission system. National Grid 14 May 12, 2022
Study Progression General • Any Group member that does not meet the requirements for ASO study will be withdrawn • Study fees are non-refundable Parallel Progression • Distribution SIS (DSIS) and ASO study are two separate and distinct studies • DSIS will progress to the stage of identifying total MW injection of new DG at area substations - Substation currently serving locations today may not be identified to serve those same locations based on distribution solutions - Identifying MW injection is required for ASO study to begin • DSIS will be put on hold until ASO is completed National Grid 15 May 12, 2022
