WELCOME “A community cannot be built by bricks and mortar alone”, wrote Jonathan Glancey in the UK’s The Guardian in 2003. People create communities. Within the Bay of Plenty region, we all know there are people amongst us that go that extra mile to make a difference in our community. They drive a team to achieve outstanding performance and put in that extra effort to achieve inspiring results. Join us in acknowledging those people. Now in its second year, the Property People Awards is becoming a major event in the calendar for the Bay of Plenty. These Awards recognise and celebrate those people in property who have made a significant impact. This year there are eight categories including: Young Achiever of the Year Award, Urban Design and Architectural Award, Best Team Award, Women in Property Award, Brooke Courtney Outstanding Leadership Award, Long Service Award, Judges’ Choice Award and the Supreme Excellence Award. Bay of Plenty Branch President Property Council New Zealand Our industry is driving many outcomes that will leave a lasting legacy in this city for its community. It is a significant responsibility for the industry so please take part in the journey with us. I strongly encourage you to nominate those people you find truly inspiring and then attend the Awards evening - to celebrate the people in our industry. Good luck, 01
