Remedial Teaching This is done by the teachers, where a child has a minor lag in language, ne/gross motor co- ordination and/or perceptual problems. Our teachers together with the principal will advise parents of the need to refer their child to a related therapist if the area of weakness needs therapy. We would like to remind parents that weaknesses at a grade 0/R level can often be corrected with therapy, leaving a child free to cope and enjoy his/her primary school years. When taking your child for therapy please ensure the teacher and principal are aware of this, as a principal, teacher and therapist relationship is important to ensure optimal progress.
