ORGANISING CHAIR’S MESSAGE Dear Visitor, A warm welcome to the National Institute of Education’s Postgraduate & Continuing Education (PG&CE) Fair 2020! This year, the fair goes virtual due to concerns about COVID-19. The virtual fair will be held on 16 May 2020, from 10am to 4pm. Our colleagues from NIE’s 10 Academic Groups, Office of Academic Administration and Services, and Programme Offices will answer your questions regarding admission, scholarships, online applications, and other aspects of our programmes. The PG&CE fair 2020 website features various programme sharing sessions materials selected just for you. Modular Graduate Courses (MGCs) provide flexible opportunities for individuals to strive towards knowledge acquisition and skills mastery. In line with SkillsFuture Singapore's initiative, NIE has curated a variety of higher degree courses to provide opportunities to develop skills through lifelong learning for working professionals from the various industries and sectors. With the newly launched NTU MiniMastersTM, these courses can be taken at one's own pace and interest, and stackable towards a MiniMastersTM. NIE Graduate Student Club (NIEGSC) By students for students Who are We NIEGSC is a student body that is dedicated to nurturing a meaningful and healthy learning environment for graduate students at NIE. The Club was initiated by a group of passionate graduate volunteers in late 2018, with the support of the Office of Graduate Studies and Professional Learning (GPL). After receiving an endorsement from current NIE graduate students and the final approval of NTU Student Affairs Office (SAO), the Club was officially established in February 2019 to serve the NIE graduate student community. GRAD CENTRE The current NIEGSC Management Team The Graduate Research and Academic Development (GRAD) Centre opened its doors to the NIE community in January 2017. It provides support for NIE higher degree students to develop as effective writers in their specialisations. Our mission is to foster a cohesive, conducive, and vibrant environment for all NIE graduate students.
