LOCATION Will Rogers Memorial Center Small Exhibits Barn 3405 Burnett-Tandy Drive Fort Worth TX 76107 DIRECTIONS FROM THE NORTH: Take I‐35W South to downtown Fort Worth – Exit I‐30 West towards Abilene – Travel approximately three miles past downtown Fort Worth to the University Drive Exit (Exit 10) – Turn north (left) on University Drive. See directions from University Drive below. FROM DFW AIRPORT: Take 121 (Airport Freeway) West – Exit I‐35W South to downtown Fort Worth – Exit I‐30 to Abilene – Travel approximately three miles past downtown Fort Worth to the University Drive Exit (Exit 10) – Turn north (left) on University Drive. DIRECTIONS FROM UNIVERSITY DRIVE TO GATE 42: At first red light, turn west (left) on Trail Drive. Turn north (right) onto Rip Johnson Drive (Gate 42). Turn left immediately after entering Gate 42 and purchase your parking ticket. The Exhibits Building is the 6th barn, on your right, after turning left, upon entering Gate 42. This will be where you unload and check in. There will be ample parking mostly onsite and in close proximity to showroom @ $5/day with in/out privileges. Concessions available in show building. RAFFLE & BANQUET AUCTION Texas Satins will be holding a RAFFLE during the show that includes some very nice items. Any donations you would like to make will be greatly appreciated. Texas Satins greatly appreciates any contributions. RABBIT AUCTION & 2022 NASS Western States Satin and Mini Satin Club will host 2022 NASS in Ogden Utah April 22-24, 2022. This year’s rabbit auction on Sunday is a major fundraiser for next year’s NASS with ½ of the auction proceeds going to the Western States club to help defray expenses. Historically this is a very nice auction that includes quality animals in most varieties of both Satin and Mini Satin that have been donated by top breeders. A very special thank you to the breeders who so graciously donated their animals to the auction at our 2019 show in Bloomington benefiting this year’s NASS. In addition, a huge thanks goes out to auctioneer Dereck Tuntland and his helpers who work hard every year making these auctions a success. OFFICIAL SHOW RULES This is a two-day pre-entry show. Entry deadline is April 15th. All rabbits in showroom must be entered in show or in a rented coop (one animal per coop). In addition to rabbits, only service animals (dog or miniature horse) task trained to mitigate a person with a disability are permitted. Please be prepared to answer the two questions if asked. This is an ARBA, ASRBA and Texas RBA sanctioned show and will be governed by the latest revision of the Official Show Rules by the American Rabbit Breeders Association, Inc. and ASRBA show rules pertaining to NASS. Filing of your entry indicates your acceptance of these show rules. Please note ARBA Show Rule SECTION 15. (D) The American Rabbit Breeders Association host club must refuse entries from exhibitors placing an entry from all locations within 150 miles which has had a confirmed outbreak of RCV/RHD/VHD within the past 60 days of the entry deadline. Show facility requires that we abide by city mandate of wearing face masks and observe social distancing. Lack of compliance will result in being banned from the show or could lead to show being shut down. Substitutions will be accepted for same breed, variety, sex and class only. All exhibitors must be checked in with the show secretary and substitutions given to secretary by 9:00pm Friday, April 23th. All rabbits must be in cages, fed and watered by closing of showroom Friday at 11:00pm. Wood shavings will be provided. Feed will be available to exhibitors. Exhibitors must provide feed and water containers and are responsible for feeding and watering their animals. The show committee reserves the right to make any changes necessary including substitution, addition or deletion of any judge.
All rabbits must be permanently and legibly tattooed in the left ear prior to judging. All animals must have coop number in right ear prior to judging. Markers will be available at check-in. All rabbits are entered at owner’s risk. Every precaution will be taken to minimize hazards, losses or mistakes. ARBA, ASRBA, Texas Satins show personnel, TRBA, judges and/or Will Rogers Memorial Center employees are in no way responsible for losses due to theft, death, fire, accident, destruction, injury to any animal, etc. All entries are made at exhibitor’s/owner’s own risk. Animals must be healthy and their care is responsibility of owner. Any rabbit showing signs of sickness, disease or showing signs of being unhealthy in any way will be excused or removed from the showroom and entry fee for such animal is forfeited. All fees owed including banquet reservations must be paid at time of entry submission. Rabbits that are locked in or not in their assigned coops at time of judging will be scratched from their class. Only authorized persons will be allowed behind judging tables during judging. Children must be under the supervision of an adult at all times. Parents/guardians are responsible for children’s actions and any damages they may cause. Roller skates, scooters, skateboards, roller blades, balls or running will not be allowed in building. Smoking not allowed in buildings or within 20 feet of outside doors. Complaints will be addressed with the show committee. Texas Satins reserves the right to refuse any entries for whatever reasons it deems necessary for the safety and general welfare of the show. Rabbits will be released upon completion of the auction on Sunday. Rabbits will not be allowed to leave showroom prior to release. Rabbits remaining in showroom after 2:00pm Sunday will become property of Texas Satins. The show committee shall make decisions which are not specifically covered by show rules.
