The link below provides a Local Government Association guide for Councillors which aims to raise awareness of online harms, the draft Bill and key considerations for decision making in this area. Although the internet can be a wonderful source of information and can connect us to friends and family around the world, it can also be a place where harm and exploitation can easily be facilitated, often leading to tragic outcomes. The Bill seeks to address these issues and make the internet a safer place for all, whilst making platforms and providers more accountable.
