Opening Other outcomes of 13.COM Progress in the reform of the periodic report mechanism, moving towards a regional cycle of reporting Initiated reflection on the participation of the NGOs in the implementation of the Convention General consensus and support towards establishing guidelines for safeguarding intangible cultural heritage in emergency situations 6 © All Rights Reserved: UNESCO/ICH
Opening Upcoming issues of the year Continued reflection in specific areas: - Consultation meeting on the role of accredited NGOs within the 2003 Convention (18 April 2019) - Expert meeting on intangible cultural heritage in emergencies (21-22 May 2019) - Preliminary meeting of experts on the listing mechanisms of the 2003 Convention (September 2019) Provisional upstream dialogue for nominations of the 2019 cycle In line with the global reflection on the listing mechanisms, the Committee decided to introduce an upstream dialogue mechanism between the Evaluation Body and the submitting States, provisionally for the files under the 2019 cycle. 7 © All Rights Reserved: UNESCO/ICH
