WHAT’S NEW FOR WINTER 2018 BA S E A R E A D E V E LO P M E N T As part of a 3-year project, Cardrona’s summer has been focused on the refurbishment of their existing Base buildings. This summer, both the Base Café & the Mezz underwent a full refit to modernise both spaces & improve guest flow. The Ski Concierge also received a lot of love, with new RFID lockers & the Concierge service itself providing day, overnight, week-long & season long storage. The on-mountain studio apartments were also renovated. Another major project that has begun this summer is more cosmetic – Ticket Office, the Lounge, Ski Concierge/Ski Patrol & the Archway were all painted over summer in a whole new colour scheme for Cardrona’s iconic “toy town” Base Area. The remaining Base Area buildings will be painted over the next couple of summers. Cardrona has also continued to make a significant investment in snowmaking technologies, & is using this coming winter to trial a range of different new systems to continue to provide a consistent ski season. 4 C A R D R O N A M E D I A PAC K
