The ambitious promise we make to our participants, who count among their numbers current and past policy makers, heads of state, business leaders, entrepreneurs, prominent investors and pre-eminent thinkers, is that they will walk away from the Summit of Minds with (1) a new idea, (2) a new friend and (3) a new project. Put another way: our commitment is that they leave us inspired by tangible outcomes and enriched by new connections. A NEW IDEA, A NEW FRIEND, A NEW PROJECT
OUR PROGRAMMES ARE AN ANTIDOTE TO SILO-THINKING Our carefully crafted programmes are packed with ideas, actionable insights and outstanding speakers. MB Summits of Minds foster an informal atmosphere of mutual trust, in which participants are able to engage in an open conversation that grapples with the critical macro issues of today’s world (geopolitics, economics, society, environment and technology) and how they inter-connect. The creativity and energy of the Summits of Minds are further enhanced by a unique offering of experiential activities, outside and in, with wellbeing at their core, and how it impacts our capacity to make better decisions, both personal and professional.
GOOD4NATURE Since its inception in 2015, the Summit of Minds has had a strong focus on the appeal, and relevance of nature. Every year, we count among our guests a significant proportion of experts, investors, activists and policy-makers who’ve made nature the focus of their attention. In many respects, nature and our relationship with it has always been part of the Summit of Minds’ DNA! Nature is not ‘free’ – it is priceless. It is an indispensable input to economic activity, and by overlooking its fundamental role we under-estimate the risks from environmental damage to growth and human welfare. The “Good4Nature” prize is awarded at the MB Summits of Minds to a start-up that operates at the confluence of Nature and Tech. The prize winner must contribute positively in one or several of the following six categories: (1) Increasing biodiversity; (2) Improving recycling; (3) Protecting forests; (4) Cutting air pollution; (5) Minimising food waste; (6) Reducing sewage pollution. The inaugural prize was awarded in September 2021 in Chamonix.
