Meet Mike Johnson:
Bachelor Nation Virtual Escape

The Special Events calendar made Nick joined us on Zoom to show off his

Spotlight Events Winners Upcoming November/December Events
End of Summer Showcase (9/5/20)
At the beginning of the semester, students had the chance to share their
music, art, films, and more at our End of Summer Showcase. A number of Keep an eye out for Spa Night (12/5/20)!
students showed off their incredible talents and phenomenal work with
their fellow lions, who then voted on their favorite pieces. The night was
filled with excitement, love, and support! Our 4 winners Cate Chapman,
Yemaya Williams, Shashwat Punjabi, and Brooklyn Kelly wenthome with
Meet and Greet passes for some of our celebrity events this semester.

DJ Competition (9/16/20) Live recording Nov. 30th
Student DJs joined us on Crowdcast to show off their DJ skills and play a set for Final Live Drop of the semester –Dec. 7th
their friends, families, and fellow lions. The DJs competed for a chance to win up
to $300 in gear and at the end of the night the audience voted for their favorite
DJ. In third place, was Cass Novosel, in second place was Tim Cho, and our win-
ner was Jorge Santana! Be sure to listen to our Spotlight Manager Connor Jones
and Spotlight Assistant Manager Ashley Salisbury interview Jorge on the sec-
ond episode of Mane Entertainment’s new podcast Talk with ME! To learn more

Tik Tok Competition (10/19-20-10/23/20)
Our InstagramTik Tok Competition was a huge hit! Students submitted some of their
best Tik Toks to be featured in our bracket style competition. Over on our Instagram
stories students voted on their favorites throughout the week and each day Tik Toks
got voted off andthe winners faced off head to head in the next round. Our winner

You might know Alex from his unforgettable impressions, funny skits, and overall
great personality. Alex Moffat is live from New York to meet our students and
fill us in on what it’s like to be a part of SNL! Join us for great laughs, interesting
information, and the inside scoop of SNL. Hope to see you there! Alex Moffat is
a New York-based actor, stand-up, writer, and current cast member on Saturday
Night Live. He hails from Chicago where he performed with The Second City’s
Bizco and Boatco, The Annoyance, iO, Zanies, The Comedy Bar, and The Public
House Theater. He appeared in NBC’s sketch comedy pilot, and can be seen in
the films “A Conspiracy On Jekyll Island” with Minnie Driver and “Uncle John”
with John Ashton. Alex was recently Natural Light Beer’s first spokesperson since
Mickey Mantle and was an official acro-dunker with the Chicago Bulls.

Missing our on-campus radio waves? Wait no more! Talk with ME is an exclusive
new podcast series which will feature a different student host every other Monday!
Students will apply, submit a preview, and then complete a pre-recorded 30 minute Description of Episode 2
show which Mane will then premier on our public Spotify and YouTube. This is a

Activities/Meals Suggestions
Lemon Chicken Cinnamon Roll Cobbler By Signature Events

Ingredients + Supplies needed:
Mac and Cheese (Nick DiGiovanni’s recipe from event) Glass Baking Dish
Mix half and half with whole milk and butter and flour. Mix in a pan until consisten- Cooking Spray

1/2 lb elbow pasta
1/2 stick butter Directions:
1/4 cup flour Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
3/4 cups milk Pour half can of apple fillinginto a mixing bowl.
1 1/4 cups half and half Chop cinnamon rolls into 1/4ths and add to the mixing bowl.
2 cups sharp cheddar (grated) Add remaining apple filling to the mixing bowl.
1 cup gruyere (grated) Mix contents with silicon spatula.
pinch of salt and pepper Spray glass dish with any non-stick spray.
1/2 cup breadcrumbs Pour and spread contents from mixing bowl into pan.
All the equipment needed is a grater (unless they buy cheese pre-grated), pot and Add a sprinkling of cinnamon overtop (Optional).

Non-dairy Maple Oat Beverage ter

Cinnamon Bun Spread
Steps:
Pumpkin Empanadas
Heat your pan to medium-high heat
Fall Leaf Corn Tortilla Chips
Add a stick of unslated butter into your pan and melt it. Continue to cook butter

until it is browned (this makes brown butter). Swirl butter in pan while it is brown-
ing to prevent it from burning.
