Joseph Littlefield
He was living in the Athens area (noted as the “Million Acres North”) in C/1810 and living in Hartland
in C/1820. He is probably the father of Charles Littlefield but this is unconfirmed.

Iowa and is interred at Linwood Cemetery. Zechariah moved from Athens to Clinton, Iowa in
1876 with his 4 children who are all living with him in C/1880.

is unclear if they were divorced or she was deceased when he remarried to Rosilla _____ in
1866. He was living in Burnham in C/1870 with Rosilla. They moved back to Hartland by C/1880
and he was working at an unnamed tannery. They moved to Lowell, Massachusetts by C/1900
then Somerville, Massachusetts by C/1920.

Following John's death, she was left to raise their 3 children; ages 7, 5 & 3. She was living in
C/1870 with the children at the homestead John built in 1860 in North Hartland. Her brother-in-
law, Franklin Littlefield, was also living with them. She was living at the homestead in C/1880
with her children, Henry 22yrs old, Maurice 18yrs old & Laura 16yrs old.

        He never married.
        He moved to Washington State and was living there by C/1900. “Henry Littlefield, aged
        68 years, beloved brother of Maurice L. Littlefield, of Hartland, Maine, passed away at
        his home at North Bellingham, Saturday evening, June 9, after a lingering illness. Mr.
        Littlefield had been a resident of Bellingham for the past nine years, and leaves many
        friends who will mourn his passing.” - The Bellingham Herald - June 11, 1928

                 marriage with her. He worked in Newport area high schools, where he
                 taught math, drivers education, and coached baseball. He was an ardent
                 baseball card and sports memorabilia collector, as well as an
                 accomplished chess player. Darrell enjoyed hunting, ice fishing,
                 snowmobiling, and four-wheeling, and could fill a book with his many
                 (mis)adventures. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hartland,
                 where he served as Treasurer for many years”
