We are also holding free live Facebook music performances on Saturday nights Kevin Cole that have been a great success. 64 years! ALERT LEVEL 2 Last week we celebrated 64 years of the Hornby Club. It has changed a lot over the past 64 years, but one thing firmly remains the same: The commitment and loyalty of our members, the Hornby community, and our staff. We will celebrate 65 years next year, and we hope it will be under very different circumstances! Thank you. Building SECTION Update NEWS With the sun going down over the Pavilion last week, we got a glimpse of how great this space is going to be. With a glass of wine in hand and the sun on our faces, the hard work and the time it has taken will seem like a GOLF distant memory. We cannot wait for this moment. We are delighted with the progress of the redevelopment and are enjoying watching it take shape. OUTDOOR BOWLS I hope everybody has been keeping safe and now that the restrictions have moved to Alert Level 2 we can get back to finishing the bowls season with our game on 31 May. Strict distancing and sanitizing rules will apply, so please follow the instructions below so we can enjoy Bowls again. • On arrival at the Bowling Club, please enter using the main front gate, enter the clubrooms building through the front door and use the sanitizer supplied. Then proceed to the registration desk to register (contract tracing) and pay $5 fees. • You are then requested to go out the back door to the car park where you can meet and greet with appropriate social distancing before the start of play. Social distancing is now one metre: please always observe this requirement. • Bowls equipment (outside of mats and jacks) cannot be shared between players (e.g. bowls, cloths, measures etc). INDOOR BOWLS • No congregation around the head (during play or kicking bowls back at the finish of the end) and we must dispense with the courtesy of handing bowls to other players.
