3 Exhibitions & Galleries — O N G O I N G Tropical Dreams: A People’s vials from Jackson Health System, and campaign History of South Florida signs from recent elections. 4 Exhibitions & Galleries — T E M P O R A R Y Miami from the Sky: Aerial Photographs from HistoryMiami Museum’s Collection Open through July 16, 2023 Miami from the Sky showcases a selection of the museum’s best aerial photographs dating from throughout the 20th century. The exhibition is on display in the Hall of Aviation at Miami International Airport. It’s a Miami Thing: In partnership with Miami International Airport’s Highlights from Our Collection Division of Fine Arts & Cultural Affairs. July 29, 2021 – January 9, 2022 In celebration of the City of Miami’s 125th birthday, we invite you to explore highlights from the museum’s vast collection of artifacts and archival materials. Over the decades, the museum has collaborated with the community to collect, preserve, and share local history, in particular Larry Spitzer objects that document the uniqueness of our city. It’s a Miami Thing will display hundreds of items including unearthed Tequesta artifacts from 800 A.D., Seminole patchwork clothing, prints from naturalist John James Audubon’s Birds of Muhammad Ali in Miami: Training America, treasure salvaged from a shipwreck, and for the “Fight of the Century” a cape from famed astrologer Walter Mercado.
