Lincoln Attraction Updates Updated November 23, 2020 • Adventure Golf Center – Closed for the year. The beginning of the 2021 season will begin in March. Call 402-421-2254 with questions. • American Historical Society of Germans from Russia – OPEN Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. NOTE: The following temporary restrictions will be in place: o Tours will resume in April 2021. o Appointments are required for visitors and researchers. We have free disposable masks available. o Sign in prior to your visit or use our contactless system when you arrive. o We will keep our doors locked until 15 minutes prior to your booking.
o We will only accept card payments for in-store purchases at this time. • Fairview, the Bryan Museum – Not open for tours for quite some time. For more information, call 402-481-3032. • Gallery 9 – Special limited gallery hours: Fridays and Saturdays 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Masks and social distancing are required. Visit their Facebook page for educational content and updates on their reopening. • International Quilt Museum – OPEN. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. We will also moderate the number of people in the building to allow for physical distancing. We will continue to work with university officials and local health partners to ensure visitor safety. Pershing Exhibit – Open Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. • James Arthur Vineyards – New winter hours beginning November 1 through March 31: OPEN Monday-Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Check their Facebook page for updates and event info. Masks are required to enter the winery. • Kiechel Fine Art – OPEN Tuesday-Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. No appointment necessary, walk-ins welcome. o They’re hosting live Facebook videos, highlighting works on Instagram, conducting private virtual tours as well as consultations for clients and appraisal valuations for estate/private/corporate collections. They are continuing to highlight items on every website they present their inventory, including their website, AskArt, ArtNet and Artsy. They are also very present on their social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and their blog). You can view everything at kiechelart.com. • Lancaster Event Center – The fairgrounds will not be open to the public through December 7, except for limited pandemic service events. Our office will be physically closed as well as we do our part to bend the curve. Keep a close eye on our online event

We’ll also post updates to our social media channels. • Larsen Tractor Museum – OPEN Tuesday-Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. ALL visitors over the age of three years old are REQUIRED to wear a FACE COVERING as per the University of Nebraska, the City of Lincoln and the CDC. We are allowing up to 15 visitors at a time in the museum. We will not be touring the current tractor testing lab in order to keep our students, staff and faculty safe. o Holiday Closures: November 26, 27 and December 22-January 5 • Licorice International – OPEN in Union College location Monday-Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Closed on Sundays. Tickets must be purchased in advance and will be for timed entry. Tickets will not be available for purchase at the gates. A limited number of guests will be admitted into the Zoo every 15 minutes to allow for adequate space to safely explore the Zoo. o Zoo Lights Powered by LES was supposed to run November 27 - December 30. However, in accordance with the current Lancaster County Health Department Directive Health Measure effective November 16, 2020, Lincoln Children’s Zoo must cancel the Zoo Lights Powered by LES event from November 27 - December 7, 2020. Learn more at https://bit.ly/ZooLightsLES. o Face coverings are required to enter all indoor buildings. In order to enter The Hive, Animal Kingdom building or Café 65, you must wear a mask. If you forget a mask, they will be available for purchase at the front gates for $1. • Lincoln Community Playhouse – They’re starting to ease into performances. To learn more about their COVID-19 safety precautions, visit https://www.lincolnplayhouse.com/covid-19.html • Lincoln Escape Room – OPEN Monday-Thursday 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Friday 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. and Sunday Noon to 8:30 p.m. All reservations must be made online at lincolnescaperoom.com. o In order to maintain the safety of our guests and employees, we will be instituting the following measures: ▪ 1) All equipment & surfaces will be disinfected after every group ▪ 2) We will limit our facility to one booking at a time (max 10 guests). ▪ 3) We ask that you and your group arrive at approx. 10 minutes before your booking so we can keep our schedule in order. • Lost in Fun – Hours are Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. We fogged and sanitized everything! Before coming in, we will take your temperatures, sanitize your shoes and give you hand sanitizer. If you don't have a mask, we do! We distanced our snack tables, and we have touchless water fountain and other items to keep you safe. o Per the new Directed Health Measure, masks MUST be worn by anyone age 5 and older AT ALL TIMES. o All shoes will be stored in a plastic bag (provided by Lost in Fun). o Our waiver must still be filled out. A limited amount of people will be let in at a time. o Due to COVID-19, LUX Center for the Arts has cancelled many group classes and camps. However, we have redesigned our private art lessons for your safety and to allow parents and adult students to sign up online. Lessons in pottery wheel, clay hand building, painting, drawing/printmaking and art sampler are being offered in one-month sessions (4 weeks at 1 hour per week). To re-open as safely as possible, we will be implementing a number of new policies to protect the health of our staff and patrons.

Visit their Facebook page for educational content. • Museum of American Speed – Temporarily closed due to the Coronavirus, but you can check out their Facebook page for fun photos and virtual tours! There is good news though - the entire staff is back in the museum working daily on new displays to ensure the place is back and better than ever! They are in the process of discussing a reopening date and will have more details in the weeks to come - but they think they can help start your 2021 on a high note! o In an attempt to keep their staff, friends and visitors safe, they’ve made the tough decision to cancel the remaining Cars & Coffee events for 2020. They will post reopening updates on their Facebook page. o Have you ever wondered how Inline Skating was invented, how Roller Hockey and Roller Derby came about, or the history of Speed Skating? Check out the answers to these questions and more by visiting https://www.rollerskatingmuseum.org/exhibits. • Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Fame – Open Wed. and Fri. 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. • Nebraska History Museum – In response to the city of Lincoln’s COVID-19 Risk Dial moving into the severe category, History Nebraska announces their Lincoln locations will be temporarily closed to the public effective Saturday, November 7. These locations include the Nebraska History Museum and the History Nebraska Research and Reference Room. All research appointments and educational programs will be rescheduled. History Nebraska will continue to monitor the latest data and will reopen the Lincoln locations to the public when the city’s risk dial drops below severe. • Nebraska State Capitol – OPEN and giving tours at the top of every hour starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 4 p.m. (no tour at noon). They are still maintaining a six-foot distance and encouraging, but not requiring, face masks. The guides are wearing face shields for visitor protection while giving tours. o The interactive “Nebraska Virtual Capitol” website is a resource for students and visitors of all ages, both here in Nebraska and around the world. Young and old can discover more about Nebraska in the comfort of their own home. Visitors are asked to wear face masks, observe social distancing and enter and exit the museum on the east side of the building. Barrier-free ramp access to the museum is located on the north side of the building. The museum will limit building capacity, provide hand sanitation stations and increase cleaning of frequently touched surfaces. o The Sheldon Museum of Art’s collection of nearly 13,000 objects is accessible online at sheldonartmuseum.org/collection. ▪ Each Tuesday, the Sheldon Museum of Art sends a brief email highlighting one work in its collection. Our trails will remain open every day - sunrise to sunset - for you to enjoy safely and socially-distanced. • TADA Theatre – We are proud to announce that we are returning home to The TADA Theatre in November! Along with some remodeling of the theatre and new health measures we have also installed a state-of-the-art air purification system that makes the air inside as clean as that in hospitals and laboratories.
