Area dei Sistemi Informativi
Just ONE account for ALL services Username = Your italian Tax Code (Codice Fiscale, generated by the tudent portal upon registration and sent you by email) Password (chosen by yourself upon registration on student portal)
Microsoft Office365 You’ll be provided with a Microsoft Office365 account connected to your codicefiscale@studium.unict.it email address, including all related services (Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, Office, etc…). The license to use these services will expire after the end of your mobility period, except the email address, which will continue to be active
Computer labs To access the computers in labs under domain use the same credentials of all other services. Some labs in some departments may have restrict access policy, so if access is denied ask the lab referent, who will contact us to solve the problem.

Servizio Wireless d’AteNeo
(University Wireless Services)
Area dei Sistemi InformativiWLUCTSTUD WLUCTSTUD is the name of the wireless network at the University of Catania allowing students and PhD students to access Internet and the online services by mean of any device provided with a wifi board.
Service Features The Wi-Fi Hotspots provide online services to classrooms, study rooms, lecture halls, libraries and other indoor and outdoor spots usually attended by students. Thanks to the potentialities offered by the broadband network of the University of Catania all the current online services are easily and quickly accessible, and new ones could be implemented.
Service set-up
The access points are configured in such a way to ensure users’
mobility within all the facilities and areas where the service is
supposed to be active.

The Service Set Identifier (SSID) of the
wireless network is WLUCTSTUD.Access to WLUCTSTUD
General parameters for service set-up
To access WLUCTSTUD network a set of credentials is
required.
Username = Your italian Tax Code (Codice Fiscale)
Password = PINSSID network name WLUCTSTUD
Security mode WPA-Enterprise (sometime WPA)
Data cryptography AES or TKIP
Credentials Username: tax code
Password : PINAccess to EDUROAM The Univeristy of Catania partecipates in the EduRoam network, thus students belonging to institutions taking part to the same network will be able to connect to our wireless service through the "EDUROAM" SSID using their own credentials, without the need of further formalities at the hosting institution.
Access to EDUROAM
The technical features of the wireless connection offered by
Eduroam are alike those of WLUCTSTUD; the only difference is that
the identifier of the wireless network to connect to is EDUROAM,
and the credentials to use are the same, just need to add to the
username ‘‘@ + the belonging institution’s domain’’ (es:
username@your_university.com), and the given password.

University Library Service
Area dei Sistemi InformativiAll the libraries connected to SBA are provided with the following services: • local consultation; • internet access; • direct loan; • delivery of document s (DD); • reproductions; • reference (bibliographic information, guidance, support and education); • social service and support for disabled people.
Consultation Service
Methods:
• Registration to services ( https://unibooks.unict.it/Registrazione/MyPersonale2.jsp )
• Deposit of a valid identity card.
Admitted Users:
• Both internal and external users.
Accepted Works:
• all except for those under special terms and conditions of use set by the ASI’s General
Direction;
• thesis provided with the author’s authorization, as well as rare and valuable books in dedicated
areas;
• up to 5 volumes at a time.
Duration:
• daily;
• deposit, on request, for 3 days.
Sanctions:
• removal for misconduct in breach of the rules (Article 6);
• redemption and final ban in the event of damage or failure to return.Direct Loan The loan is personal. Methods: • Registration to services ( https://unibooks.unict.it/Registrazione/MyPersonale2.jsp ) • production of a valid identity card; • at the SBA’s library where all the works are kept. Accepted Works: • printed works since 1915, textbooks and manuals in multiple copies; • up to 10 volumes. Duration: • 30 days; A non-commercial model release: • Before the end of the Erasmus program, a non-commercial release issued by ASI shall be handed by the student to the International Relations Office, in order to certify that all the books borrowed have been duly returned.
Further Services Internet Access Electronic catalogues and resources are available within the libraries of the SBA’s terminals general public consultation and internet access, and for strictly-related studies, research and teaching activities. Reproductions The photocopying service for personal use of articles or parts of books within the library premises is permitted in accordance with the rules of copyright. Valuable material, subject to damage, may only be reproduced with the authorization of the ASI’s General Direction, which does not include the reproduction of thesis.
