PROGRAMME OVERVIEW The Business Associate (BA) Program is an exciting pathway into our firm for graduating, undergraduate Bachelor’s students who are interested in the variety of career opportunities available in the investment management industry. This three- year, London based program will help you gain insight into our industry, firm and culture, as well as knowledge of the many different business divisions that support our investment functions. We expect new entrants to join the Business Associate Program in July 2022. During your first two weeks with us, you will be assimilated into the firm through our virtual Base Camp Development Program. This program is designed to equip you with new skills and knowledge of our clients, industry, firm, and culture while developing a strong internal network that will set you up for a successful transition into the firm. By investing in your personal growth on day one, you will help us continue to exceed our client’s expectations. You will join as part of the Investment20/20 trainee programme and you will have opportunities to meet and network with over 300 trainees across the industry and participate in socials and insight events. DIVISION Wellington Management Funds Global (“WMF Global”) group develops and oversees a variety of commingled funds offered to a diverse set of Wellington’s clients from over 40 countries worldwide. WMF Global sponsors over 80 funds totaling AUM of $44 billion, spanning the full range of Wellington’s product offerings, including equity, fixed income, multi-asset and alternatives. WMF Global has funds domiciled in Ireland (UCITS), Luxembourg (UCITS and AIFs), as well as in Cayman, Canada and Australia. Responsibilities Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: 2 of 5
Product Development • Support the group’s active launch of new funds, by conducting competitive analysis and running various reports and analytics to help the team through the end-to-end fund development design and launch process • Help prepare items related to fund changes, including but not limited to portfolio manager or strategy transitions, fee and benchmark changes • Assist with client information requests and rfps concerning existing funds Governance • Prepare agenda and materials, and minute, monthly team meetings on regulatory change; follow-up on regulatory action items and, keep the regulatory tracker updated and available. Assist with project management of implementation of certain regulatory changes • Request and collate Committee and Board materials; assist with the review of materials; follow-up on Committee and Board action points; prepare Board meeting schedules/timings/and set-up presentation slots and send materials to Board attendees • Support the process of reviewing business policies (e.g. follow-up with colleagues, help with formatting policy documents). Keep policy books updated and available. Sales Infrastructure • Support the global distribution of the funds by building an understanding of country specific requirements to register the funds across multiple jurisdictions, and then oversee related regulatory filings • Assist in the oversight of external vendors engaged to produce regulatory required fund documentation to include: UCITS KIIDs, PRIIPS KIDS, and new ESG related disclosure • Help oversee strategic data/document dissemination partner, attending calls and answering queries. Support efforts to increase our external footprint with vendors and rating agencies, including from an ESG perspective Projects • For all areas above, help out on projects as needed, such as SFDR and other ESG-related projects and growth initiatives 3 of 5
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS If you are a graduate from any subject background with a passion to develop a career in investment management and have the following skills, we would like to hear from you. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Well organized, ability to multi-task and detail-oriented • Inquisitive, highly motivated self-starter • Analytical with strong problem-solving skills, comfortable working with, and interpreting, quantitative data • Highest ethical standards and integrity • Strong work ethic and professionalism • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically in Word, PowerPoint and Excel • Tech or IT skills a plus Not sure you meet 100% of our qualifications?
