1 Sustainable Oils & Fats st International Congress The Sustainable Oils in Question: Miracle or Mirage? Paris, June 16 - 17, 2015
Dear Colleague, You have certainly noted that the sustainability concept has ramped up over the past years in the oils & fats industry. A strong social and environmental awareness is rising from producers (palm, soy, rapeseed, marine oils…) to consumers. Surprisingly, international congresses are granting at best one session on sustainability. Others are focusing on a specific source, such as sustainable palm or responsible soy. We, at FAT & Associés, have decided to organize an international event to gather all industrial actors and decision makers around a 360° view of the sustainable oils & fats market. The 1st Sustainable Oils & Fats International Congress (SOFIC) will take place on 16 & 17 June 2015 in Paris, France. This global event aims at as- sembling diverse views and answering a rather provocative question “The Sustainable Oils in Question: Miracle or Mirage?”. You are part of the sustainable value chain, or would like to understand how far the pheno- menon would expand: join us and share your experience with the commu- nity!
