Sara Ali Khan has a penchant for affordable fashion. While the Simmba
actor has been the choicest muse to Indian designers, it hasn’t stopped
her from wearing affordable clothing. Ever since her debut, Sara has
shown us various fashionable sides of her by wearing mini dresses
to designer lehengas and so much more. Lately, the Kedar nath actor
seems to be fixated on comfor table ethnic wear, especially kur tis and
maxi dresses. Her ethnic wardrobe has her wearing a lot of retail
brands too which automatically makes her outfits extremely adapt-
able and affordable. Recently, Sara stepped out in the most comfor t-
able maxi dress and her look can be recreated in approximately Rs
2500. Sara was spotted in Mumbai and she wore a printed Global
Desi maxi dress for the occasion. The A-line maxi had an orange print
all over and is the perfect option for the summer season. The dress
had a cinched waist and Sara chose to style it with a pair of orange
juttis. The Simbaa actor kept her half hair swept back and went make-
up free for the casual outing. She opted for orange bangles and chose
simple white studs as earrings.
Sara’s outfit is perfect for when the temperature rises. The cool colours
and fabric make it an easy pick. The maxi dress can easily be styled
with basic flats or even kolhapuri chappals. If you love to accessorise,
add silver oxidised earrings and silver bangles to complete the look.

The Taunton offers Award winning Rental Lifestyle
With rental living evolving into a highly desirable lifestyle option, Branthaven
Homes and Emshih Living present an extraordinary new rental oppor tunity in
Oakville. Introducing The Taunton Apar tments, the new standard in brand-
new, purpose-built, rental apartments.
Burlington-based Branthaven Homesand Emshih Living noticed a need in the
marketplace for luxury rental living, especially in Oakville. "We're offering renters
- young professionals, executives, retirees, snowbirds and others, the luxury of
living in a brand-new, purpose-built apartment with all the amenities and lifestyle
benefits of a high-end condo yet liberated from the commitment of home ownership,"
says Steve Stipsits, president of Branthaven Homes.
With escalating costs associated with home ownership and big condo
communities, many people are now opting to rent rather than own. Renting
has many lifestyle and financial benefits that are often overlooked when
considering what type of housing options to choose. "When you rent it is a
fixed cost - there are no unexpected expenses, no outlay of a costly down
payment, no mor tgage, no condo fees, no landscaping, security monitoring
or upkeep costs. From a lifestyle and financial point of view, renting can be
financially and emotionally freeing," suggests Stipsits.
"At our recent opening, building industry exper ts who toured The Taunton
said it is arguably the best rental building in Canada," says Stipsits. "They
noted the high quality of the construction, the level of fit and finish as well as
the hotel-inspired amenities on offer at The Taunton."

How to layer up with jackets this summer

They are smar t, chic and definitely a piece of clothing your summer wardrobe needs. We are talking about layering
up with cool jackets this season. Well, layering up in summers does seem odd, especially when it is a winter choice.
However, there are a variety of cool options when it comes to choosing the right jacket to beat the heat.
“We feel it [layering] does hold a great value in terms of style. But in terms of comfor t, one should focus on the textures
of the clothes. Wearing light linen or cotton material for layering is apt as they are thin and let your body breathe. Layers
of organza on dresses and trousers add a sense of romance,” says fashion designer Sweta Tantia of Tahweave.
While the trend has become a favourite among Bollywood stars, we take a look how you can experiment
with the jacket this season.
Add your summer chic with this Kora jacket. “This is a soft unbleached organic cotton, hand-spun and handwoven
jacket with box pleats on the front and back. You can tr y it on a crop and palazzo trousers,” says fashion designer
Vaibbhavi P.
COOL COTTON
Actor Karisma Kapoor looks chic in this white cotton silk flower jamdani pleated dress with French knot embroidered
pockets. What caught our attention was the green with off-white, yellow and brown stripes cowl over layer with
drawstrings. “It’s a single ply cotton over layer, which is ver y easy to carry and can be accessorised with anything
which makes any outfit looks dressier. An over layer can be paired up with a pant, dress by making it totally summer
ready,” says fashion designer Sweta Tantia.
FLOWER POWER
Nothing beats a bold floral motif and this sunflower motif is one happy summer jacket you can opt for. “The jacket is
inspired from ‘kediyo’, the traditional wear of Gujarat and also includes some bold handloom prints and a sunflower
which is machine embroidered,” says fashion designer Vina Ahuja of Akashi.
CHECK IT OUT
Keeping it casual and chic is actor Ananya Panday who rocks this print-on-print jacket and shor ts by Only. What
makes this an ideal summer wear is that the chequered jacket can pass off as a formal and casual wear at the same
time. Team it with a pair of trousers and you are ready to go.
STYLE IT RIGHT
Stylist Preetham Jukalker suggests summer jackets to get you sorted for every occasion. Take a look...
If you have an early morning activity or travel plan, keep it casual with a cotton sleeveless printed jacket and team it
with a pastel T-shir t or you also opt for print-on-print. For instance, a printed jacket and shor ts as coordinates.
Summer is a good time for pastel shades. If you are out to get some brunch, try on a pastel jacket with white or ivory
pyjamas. In pastel shades you could choose from powder blue or aqua green.
For an evening outing, a printed long jacket with tapered pants flatter any body type. If you have a wedding to attend,
the men can opt for jackets in floral prints and Aztec prints teamed with pastel kurta and the women can go for sheer
capes on skirts and flared pants.
