College Captain, Liam Chang explains the 2021 Theme: “Better Together”, Motivate your Mate! Using the analogy of a ship sailing the high seas: “A ship needs its crew like a school needs its students - for company, companionship, and comradery. There are hundreds of people manning the ship and everyone has a job to do and must get involved in order to prepare and maintain a seaworthy vessel. But without each crew member, the ship cannot function. There will be times when the sea is rough and stormy, and the ship looks as if it’s going to sink. It’s times like these where encouraging and supporting your mates and getting involved together has never been so vital – and remember: a smooth sea never made a good sailor. So, whether that be on the field, up on stage or in the classroom – I put the challenge to you: to motivate your mates and all get involved in every aspect of the college. Because not only will getting involved make Pius BETTER TOGETHER, but the more you put in, the more you’ll get out.” ST PIUS X COLLEGE CHATSWOOD 35 Anderson Street Chatswood NSW 2067 • Ph: (02) 9411 4733 Email: admin@stpiusx.nsw.edu.au • www.spx.nsw.edu.au 2 PIUS InProfile Pius InProfile Feb 2021 edits 25.2.21 .indd 2 2/3/21 10:10 am
