Introduction • The Victorian Government is running the $60 million Victorian Dining and Entertainment Program. • It offers 25 per cent back on eligible dining and entertainment experiences across the state. • The program is part of the $200 million Business Stimulus Package announced in February. • The package is designed to support businesses and entice customers back to enjoying dining and entertainment experiences across Victoria.
What does the Victorian Business Stimulus Package include? • $100 million in rebates and vouchers for consumers including: o $30 million in rebates through the Victorian Dining Program for dining across the state outside the City of Melbourne o $30 million in rebates through the Victorian Entertainment Program for entertainment experiences across Victoria o $30 million for the Victorian Travel Voucher Scheme and the Seniors Travel Voucher Scheme to encourage more people to holiday at home o $10 million for a fresh round of Midweek Melbourne Money enticing diners back into hospitality venues in the City of Melbourne • $60 million Small Business Ventilation Program to help small businesses purchase equipment and upgrades to improve ventilation and reduce the spread of COVID-19 • Some $34.2 million from the Jobs Victoria Fund to place workers in over 1,500 jobs across hospitality, warehousing and logistics, tourism and food processing • $5 million to extend the Small Business Digital Adaptation Program, providing rebates so businesses can access digital tools • Extension of the Business Recovery and Resilience Mentoring Program with the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, giving more small businesses access to coaching

How do customers claim the rebate? Customers can apply for a rebate through the Victorian Dining and Entertainment Program in three simple steps: 1. Customer pays for their purchase in full and receives a digital or printed proof of purchase or tax invoice from the business including: o Business name o Purchase date, using Australian format – date/month/year o Itemised purchase o Total amount paid (inc. GST) Please note receipts must be in English. Handwritten and EFTPOS merchant receipts cannot be accepted. 2. Customer uploads their receipt and contact information, bank details, date of purchase and total bill amount to either the secure Victorian Dining Program website or the Victorian Entertainment Program website. 3. The customer’s 25 per cent rebate is credited to their nominated Australian bank account within 5 business days of their claim being approved. Regular updates on funds will be published on the Victorian Dining Program and the Victorian Entertainment Program websites. Before submitting a claim, we encourage customers to check the relevant website to see if funds are available.
Telling your customers The Victorian Government is promoting the Victorian Dining and Entertainment Program to consumers. Businesses can also promote the program using word of mouth, email, newsletters, websites and social media. A Business Information Pack is available to download, which includes digital promotional assets. The pack is available in six languages - Arabic, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Hindi, Punjabi, and Vietnamese.
