INDIA TO GROW AT 7.2 PER CENT IN 2018-19: CSO The Indian economy is expected to grow at 7.2 per cent in 2018-19, a tad higher from 6.7 per cent in the previous fiscal, mainly due to improvement in the performance of agriculture and manufacturing sectors.The growth in the ‘trade, hotels, transport, communication and services related to broadcasting’, 'financial, real estate and professional services', ‘agriculture, forestry and fishing’ and ‘mining and quarrying’, is estimated to be 6.9 per cent, 6.8 per cent, 3.8 per cent and 0.8 per cent, respectively. India’s GDP has been derived by adding taxes on products net of subsidies on products to GVA at basic prices. The GDP of India, at current prices in the year 2018-19, is likely to attain a level of Rs 188.41 lakh crore, as against Rs 167.73 lakh crore, in 2017-18, registering a growth rate of 12.3 per cent. Releasing the first advance estimates of National Income for 2018-19, the Central Statistics Office (CSO) said, "The growth in GDP during 2018-19 is estimated at 7.2 per cent as compared to the growth rate of 6.7 per cent in 2017-18." Source- Economictimes, Timesnow PRAYAGRAJ KUMBHA MELA 2019 MAKES IT TO THE GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS Prayagraj Kumbh Mela 2019 has been placed in the Guinness World Records in three sectors. It includes largest traffic and crowd management plan, the biggest painting exercise of public sites under paint my city scheme and biggest sanitation and waste disposal mechanism. A three member team from Guinness World Records visited the Prayagraj for this purpose. Exercise at large scale were done before the team members for three days from February 28 to March 3. Around 503 shuttle buses were pressed into service in one go for the team on February 28 on the highway. Several people participated in painting exercise on March 1 and 10 thousand workers engaged in cleaning at Prayagraj Kumbh performing their duties all together. Only a single bathing festival of Mahashivratri of the six main bathing festivals remains. Five bathing festivals of the Kumbh have concluded successfully with more than 22 crore pilgrims taking a holy dip. Source-PIB INDIA SUCCESSFULLY TEST-FIRES TWO QUICK REACTION SURFACE-TO-AIR MISSILES India successfully test-fired two indigenously developed Quick Reaction Surface-to-Air missiles (QRSAM) . The trials were conducted by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) from Launch Complex 3 of the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur . The two missiles were tested for different altitude and conditions. The test flights successfully demonstrated robust control, aerodynamics, propulsion, structural performance and high manoeuvring capabilities, thus proving the design configuration. It will help in strengthening Indian Armys strike capability and nations military might. The state-of-the-art missile, with a strike range of 30 km, is capable of engaging multiple targets. TATA STEEL RECOGNISED AS ONE OF WORLD’S MOST ETHICAL COMPANIES Private steel major Tata Steel has been recognised as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies by the Ethisphere Institute, a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices, for 2019. With this, Tata Steel has got the recognition eight times in the 'Metals, Minerals and Mining' category. "We are honoured to be recognised as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies for the eighth time now. The Tata name evokes a sense of Trust, Credibility and Integrity to many millions of stakeholders in India and overseas. "This equity of the Tata group has been earned through our conduct and operating principles. This recognition enables us to stay committed to operate with high ethical standards," company CEO and MD, T V Narendran said. "The recognition was awarded post assessment on a number of parameters which included reputation, innovation and leadership, compliance and ethics programme, training and communication, corporate governance, corporate citizenship, sustainability and responsibility," the company said. Tata Steel Managing Director H M Nerurkar commented, "It is truly an honour to be recognised for our ethical practices which have always been the driving principle in the way we conduct our business." Ethisphere has reviewed nominations from companies in more than 100 countries and 36 industries through in-depth research and multi-step analysis. In another development, the steel maker said it was conferred with the Most Admired Knowledge Enterprises (MAKE) award for 2012 at Global level. The company has previously been recognised by the Indian MAKE awards on six accounts since its inception in 2005. Tata Steel is world's second most geographically diversified steel producers with an annual crude steel capacity of over 26.5 million tonnes. CISF CREATES NEW GUINNESS WORLD RECORD Troops of the CISF created history by achieving a Guinness world record feat in ‘single-line bicycle parade’ to mark the 50 years of the paramilitary force. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) was raised in 1969 and it has about 1.80 lakh personnel in its ranks. The record was created at the Yamuna Expressway in Noida when personnel of the central force rode a total of 1,327 bicycles “non-stop with uniform distance between bicycles in a single line. The bicycle parade covered 3.2-km distance non-stop. Earlier, this record was held by Hubballi bicycle club of India which had 1,235 bicycles in single chain. It was an attempt requiring high degree of discipline as entire formation has to be moving, keeping in mind that the distance between two cycles should not exceed the length of three cycles for the world record to be broken.The Guinness World Record presented a certificate to CISF Director General Rajesh Ranjan and other senior officials. FLAVOR'S OF INDIA SALLI BOTI PIE How to Make Salli Boti Pie Recipe : TOTAL TIME ; 3h PREP TIME : 120m Step 1 CALORIES : 447 To prepare this delicious pie recipe, start by preheating the oven at 250 degrees. Now, remove the stems of the green chilies and chop them up. Then, grate ginger in a blender Ingredients Of Salli Boti and add the green chilies with 1 1/2 tablespoon of water Pie Recipe : and a pinch of salt. Blend to make the green chili paste. Next, take the boneless mutton and marinate it in garlic 5 star anise ginger paste, green chili paste and salt for at least 2 hours. 2 tablespoon virgin olive Step 2 oil Now, take a pressure cooker on medium flame and add 2 teaspoon salt water. Then, add the mutton and cook for 30-40 minutes, i.e. 1 1/2 teaspoon garam masala around 3-4 whistles, till the chicken is completely tender. powder Step 3 1 1/2 gm ginger paste Next, take a saucepan on medium flame and heat oil in it. 3 green chilli Add onions to the pan and cook till it turns translucent. 8 clove Then, add in all the masala powders and mix well for 3-4 minutes, till the spices aroma starts filling the room. 2 medium onion Step 4 1 inch ginger Now, add the tomato puree and the mutton mince in the 3 tablespoon vinegar pan and mix well. Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook 50 gm jaggery in it's own juice it till turns into a dry mixture. (Note: do 1 1/2 teaspoon turmeric not mix water) While this cooks, shred the already cooked 2 teaspoon red chilli mutton and add it to the dry mutton mince mixture. Stir it powder thoroughly. 1 1/2 gm garlic paste Step 5 1 1/4 cup tomato puree When the mixture is mixed, add in the jaggery, vinegar and 5 bay leaf balance it to create a sweet and sour flavor. Then, pour 2 puff pastry sheet the mixture into a pie tray and cover it with a pastry sheet. 1 kilograms mutton Carve the sheet according to your choice and brush it lightly with egg. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until the pie is golden brown on top. Step 6 Serve the pie, fresh out of the oven. Enjoy the one of a kind Salli Boti Pie!
