COVID 19 National Context

•   Road map milestones currently being met

•   Pressure on Acutes reducing

•   Incident response level nationally now at level 3. Trust and
    system responding accordingly in reducing further incident
    response measures

•   Important we maintain gains of incident response as we
    transition out of pandemic
COVID 19 Local Context
• Inpatient Services continue to experience significant pressure, although no
  confirmed cases across our inpatient estate

• Requirement to provide trajectories to achieve zero out of area placements

• Significant pressure on growing number of community services in terms of
  numbers and complexity

• Improving staffing position in specialist childrens services (0-19)

• Strong engagement with system partners around pressures

• Planning underway for reset work w/c 7th June
COVID 19 Vaccination Centres
•   Lynfield Mount Hospital Hub due to close at end of May

•   Jacobs Well continues to increase their bookings will all
    available slots booked

•   Old Bradford College reopened 13th May and has been quality
    assured by NHSE/I for the delivery of Pfizer vaccine

•   Currently cohorts 1-10 being vaccinated with follow up letters
    being provided to those who have not taken up the vaccine in
    line with Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation
    Guidance
• New guidance on the use of Astra Zeneca issued on the 7th May
  advising no 1st vaccinations for under 40 years, Pfizer vaccine
  has been offered for staff and NBS cancelled all appointments for
  under 40 years advising discussion with GP prior to vaccination

• National Guidance, patient information leaflets and
  communications produced

• Development of band 3 support worker roles using for vaccination
  and drawing up vaccines with Old Bradford College, continued
  risks of ongoing availability of qualified vaccinators

 • Screens have been reviewed within the centre to manage the privacy within
   each station – screens procured were not suitable, being re-ordered.
 • Purchasing hearing loops for the centre – hearing loops on order, checking
   on delay in supply.
 • Leaflets have been ordered in Braille - now in place
 • Parking is directed on the booking system to use NCP car park, it is not
   officially offered at Jacobs Well. Marshals direct the traffic outside and
   inside of the site, parking is at NCP car park and disabled access is available
   on site – remarks about parking down, parking info on national booking site
   being updated.
