Keeping this quote in mind, we started this ISA Heritage Project in the month of December. The students of classes 7 to 9 were involved in this project. Students were divided in teams of six. We organized a Guest Lecture, where we invited Mrs. Sanghamitra Sengupta, HOD of Social Science Department of Birla High School to tell us about the importance of preserving our heritage. We showed four PPTs about the following places – Chittorgarh, Thailand, Malaysia and Dubai. There were words of appreciation from both - our Principal, Mr. Bhanu Pant and Dean Academics, Mrs. Mamta Bhargava. As this was a collaborative project, we had an exchange program with Abu Dhabi Indian School, UAE. This program had the following highlights – · Principals of both the schools inaugurated this first ever exchange program of DWPS. · Through exchange of emails, the teachers of the two schools mutually decided on the activities to be done. · Our students prepared a questionnaire and shared it with the partner schools to know about their historical monuments. · Students also shared a report of “The heritage site in our own country." · Interaction on Zoom helped them to extend the learning and clarify doubts, if any. · Students of both the schools made a comparative study of the historical monuments in both the countries and discussed about methods of conservation of Heritage sites adopted in their countries. · The learning was presented through posters / charts and PPT. · Report Writing was shared with the partner schools. The exchange program ended on a positive note, where teachers and students of both the schools felt the need of a physical visit to each other's countries.
