IBM is pleased to extend the IBM PartnerWorld Know Your IBM (KYI) Cloud, Cloud Platform,
Data & Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cloud Integration, Learn and Earn Offer to India South Asia
(ISA), Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) and Korea. The KYI offer currently exists in North
America, Europe and Latin America. This offering is valid for IBM client facing Tier 2 Business
Partners (BPs) sales and technical representatives when they fulfill eligibility criteria between
April 15, 2020 and December 31, 2020.
Announcement Detail
Eligible IBM client facing Tier 2 BP fulltime, non-management sales and technical staff can earn
KYI points by completing selected IBM Cloud Pak Learning Paths and by obtaining the relevant
IBM Professional certifications, for IBM Cloud, Cloud Platform, Data & AI and Cloud Integration,
that can be redeemed through the KYI reward catalog.
For the purposes of this KYI IBM Cloud Platform, Data & AI and Cloud Integration “Learn and
Earn” Offering a total shared pool of 1,400,000 points are made available for Tier 2 BPs to earn
through the offer period. A points countdown will be shown on the KYI portal. Once the
countdown hits zero the offer will conclude. Points will be issued on a first come first serve
basis. A KYI Point is valued at $0.25 USD.
The Offer
• A BP Employee can earn a maximum of $1,050 worth KYI points in 2020
• A BP Employee can earn
o $500 worth KYI Points for the Learning Path and relevant certifications completed in
Q2 2020 or any new certifications launched in subsequent quarters of 2020
o $350 worth KYI points for the Learning Path and relevant existing certifications
completed in Q3 or Q4 2020 for Q3 launched certifications
o $200 worth KYI points for Learning Path and certifications launched in the previous 2
quarters and completed in Q4 2020
KYI points will be credited to the Business Partner representative’s account upon validation.

Who is Eligible?
IBM Business Partner Tier 2 Resellers in eligible countries who acquire IBM products from IBM
Distributors who have accepted the terms of the
• IBM Business Partner Agreement
• IBM PartnerWorld Agreement
• Individual participants must be registered in KYI prior to completing the eligible education in
order to receive the benefit.
Additional Qualification Criteria
• To participate in the KYI offering the BP Firms must accept the PartnerWorld KYI
Attachment which grants IBM permission to reward BP employees directly
• Participating fulltime Tier 2 BPs employees must complete IBM Integrity Training prior to
receiving a benefit. To complete the Integrity training participants can send an email to
cloud@kyirewards.com requesting access to the training.
• No more than 20 individuals from a single BP Firm may participate in the incentive.
2• Entities governed by Anti-Bribery and Graft Act (Kim Young-ran Act) do not qualify for KYI points.

• Participants are limited to redeeming a quantity of two (2) of a specific product type. (Example: you
can claim 2 x iPads, but you can’t claim 2 x iPad 16GB and 2 x iPad 32GB and 2 x iPad 64GB). Note
that merchandise redemption is only available for Learn and Earn reward points earned.
• Individuals must provide their tax ID
Business Partners who are Government Entities (GEs) may not participate in KYI. For a

Example earnings from this offering
A BP Employee can earn a maximum of $1,050 worth of KYI points under this offering. The BP
Employee can choose the Learning Path and the certification as listed in the KYI Portal under
Cloud, Data & AI.
Scenario 1: A student takes the Learning Path and the relevant certification in 2Q 2020 gets
$500 worth of KYI points; then takes a new Learning Path and the relevant certification in 4Q
and gets rewarded with $500 worth of KYI points, if he or she takes one more Learning Paths
and the relevant certifications they will be rewarded only $50 worth of KYI points totaling to
$1,050 worth of KYI points.
Scenario 2: A student takes 2 Learning Paths and relevant new certifications in 2Q 2020, gets
rewarded $1,000 worth of KYI points and then takes another in 4Q 2020, he/she will be
rewarded only $50 worth of KYI points totaling to $1,050 worth of KYI points
Scenario 3: A student completes in 3Q 2020 a Learning Path and relevant certification issued in
the previous quarter, gets rewards worth of $350 KYI points; then completes another existing
Learning Path and relevant certification in 4Q 2020 and gets $200 worth of KYI reward points.
He/She will have earned $550 worth of KYI points and can continue to complete any additional
Learning Path and relevant certification worth of $500 KYI points.

• Once in KYI select ‘Cloud, Data & AI Offering”
• Accept the Terms and Conditions and set your communication preferences

Terms & Conditions
• A Business Partner's participation in this offer is subject to the terms and conditions of the IBM
PartnerWorld Agreement and the PartnerWorld KYI Attachment.
• IBM reserves the right to modify or withdraw this offer at any time.
• This offer is void wherever prohibited or restricted by law.
3• All decisions by IBM are final.
• IBM reserves the right to recover from the Business Partner any amounts due to IBM because of
overpayment or noncompliance with the offer.
• The charges / consideration payable under this offering are inclusive of all indirect taxes, not limited
to service tax, value added tax, goods and services tax ("GST") or any local taxes, as applicable, at
the prevailing rate.
• The IBM client facing Business Partner and Business Partner representative commit and are obliged
to assure that KYI points and redeemed merchandise are used only for appropriate purposes and in

• IBM and Business Partner agree to comply with all withholding tax obligations, as applicable.
• Any information submitted to IBM (or delegated third party company) will be treated as confidential
and will only be used for the purposes of determining proof of entitlement, calculation and settlement
of reward requests.
• IBM makes no commitment that the above merchandise will be available in any future Incentive.

• KYI Cloud & AI “Learn and Earn” provides incentives for certifications obtained for Cloud Pak for Data
and Cloud Pak for Integration).
• Points will be credited to the participant’s reward account upon successful completion of validation
based on IBM PartnerWorld® Partner Profiling System (PPS) records.
• New and Eligible certifications will be announced periodically via the Know Your IBM website.
• All employees of the BP must report their achieved certification to the Authorised Profile Administrator
(APA) at the Business Partner firm.
• The APA then reports certification achievement on behalf of employees into the IBM PartnerWorld
Profiling System (PPS). The reporting process requires 2 key steps:
o Reporting of an employee-supplied candidate ID
o Assigning the employee to the firm agreement
• Certifications or mastery tests must be reported against the IBM ID the employee uses in the Know
Your IBM offering.

Region specific Terms & Conditions
Tax Liability
Canada:
The KYI Coordinator will provide each participant who has redeemed more than CDN $500 in KYI points
within the 2020 calendar year with a T4A form for tax purposes. You will be required to share your Social
Insurance Number for filing purposes on the KYI website
USA:
The KYI Coordinator will provide each participant who has redeemed more than USD $600 in KYI points
within the 2020 calendar year with a 1099-Misc form for tax purposes. You will be required to share your
Social Security Number for filing purposes on the KYI website.
Germany, Italy:
IBM will pay the Income tax resulting from rewards issued to participants. Reward amounts at the KYI
offering web-site for these countries will show the amount payable to the individual after tax has been
4deducted. All tax payments will be held on IBM’s behalf by the agency managing the KYI offering. You
may be required to share your personal tax information for filing purposes on the KYI website.
Belgium, Finland, France, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden,
Switzerland:
The KYI coordinator will collect participant’s tax file number and report earnings through this offering to
the local tax authorities annually. You will be required to share your personal tax information for filing
purposes on the KYI website.
AP (India, Sri Lanka)
The KYI coordinator will collect participants tax file number and report earnings through this offering to the
local tax authorities annually. You will be required to share your personal tax information for filing
purposes on the KYI website.
