Re˛dziński Bridge in Wrocław About Wrocław Wrocław, the conference city, is the capital of Lower Silesia and one of the oldest and most beautiful places in Poland, with over 650 000 perma- nent inhabitants and a student popu- lation of over 130 000. The city centre is crossed by seven rivers and an exten- sive network of the Odra River chan- nels and tributaries, making Wrocław known as the city of 12 islands and 300 bridges.
