Amber Trails Farm 2021 It’s Farm Season Again! The students of Amber Trails Community School are currently busy preparing the farm for the summer. We are searching for community members who would like to invest in a share of our farm and its veggies. In return for your investment, you will receive a weekly selection of fresh veggies throughout the harvest season. This way of getting vegetables is called a Community Shared Agriculture Model (CSA). It's that time of year again! Amber Trails Farm is excited to announce another summer full of fresh and delicious produce to sell. For more information about the farm or how to sign up for a share, please email us at... ambertrailsfarm@gmail.com. “Membership in a CSA creates relationships between people and the food they eat, the land on which it is grown, and those who grow it. This supportive relationship helps to create an economically stable farm operation. This allows farmers to ensure proper land stewardship practices in order for the soil to be healthy for generations to come.” — Community Supported Agriculture Manitoba Please check out www.csamanitoba.org for more information about how a CSA works. How It Works: 1. You purchase a share of the harvest in the spring time (RIGHT NOW!) 2. We will arrange a weekly pickup at Amber Trails School of your share of the veggies during the harvest season. *** Please understand that this way of getting veggies is about sharing
Library reminder Greetings, Library Trailblazers! It’s Mr. Merv, your friendly-neighbourhood library tech! This is a message for all my Trailblazers who are remote learning and soon to be graduating grade 8. The month of June is upon us and it’s time to return those library books! Beginning June 1, a tub will be at the front entrance of the school for library returns. This is for students that are remote learning. If you are still attending school, I will collect your books during your regular library time. Be safe everyone! Mr. Merv
Tribute to our beloved students Sadly, we have had to say goodbye to three of our special friends. Sachleen passed away earlier this spring and as a tribute to the amazing impact she had on her classmates and the staff of Amber Trails School, her classroom teacher, Mrs. Villaverde, the Little Owls of Room 105, Learning Support, Music and Dance teachers created a beautiful book and video package, which were gifted to the family. A permanent memorial for our dear friend Jacob is hanging on the wall of the main floor hallway. “Look for me in Rainbows” This beautiful work of art was created by Kaydence and her friends in Room 118. Sachleen, Jacob and Kaydence will always hold a special place in the hearts of our Amber Trails School family.
