AI Smart Innovation through Natural Language Processing Improving competitiveness with artificial intelligence ISBN: 978-3-446-46756-9 378 pages, hardcover Publication date: February 2021 Essential for anyone who wants to combine human and artificial intelligence in the best possible way • Shows how to use AI and manage information overload • Places technological development at the heart of innovation development • Navigates the thicket of emerging technologies • Delivers a concrete innovation and technology strategy The days when a product can successfully exist on the market for a long time are long gone. Ever shorter product life cycles, constantly rising customer demands or the high level of uncertainty in the market are just a few examples that show how vital it will be (and already is) for companies to place their own innovation capability at the center of their corporate policy and to constantly improve it. At the same time, technological develop- ment is advancing rapidly, the flood of data continues to increase extremely, and it is al- most impossible for companies to maintain an overview here. How this overview can be achieved, where the journey is heading, which consequences and decisions can be derived from it for the corporate strategy, is now conveyed by this practical work, which can be put into practice in a very concrete way. The work shows how AI can be used to turn big data into smart data and systematically develop a company's own innovation and technology strategy. It illustrates how new technologies, new applica- tions and experts will be identified in the future, shows that the path is clearly moving from individual technologies to technology systems, emphasizes the central role of patents and much more. The focus is always on consistent customer orientation! HANSER Foreign Rights Spring 2021 Contact: Gabriele.Josiger@hanser.de 11

Building digital competence is not a short- term training project of the typical kind; rather, a holistic approach is needed that affects all areas of the company and raises numerous questions: • Which digital competencies are needed in which departments? • Who defines these and who should implement this and how? • What role does HR play in this? • What do companies need in order to not only build digital competencies, but to con- stantly develop them, and what needs to change in corporate structures? The Digital Competence Handbook offers a comprehensive look from different perspectives at the promising future direction of companies. In addition to cutting-edge research findings, the book includes a large number of concrete contributions from the field, which help to understand the different approaches and industry-specific differences and to compare them with one's own approaches. Construction Introduction to technical drawing 2D and 3D Technical product documentation for practice 19th revised edition ISBN: 978-3-446-46728-6 180 pages, Paperback Publication date : May 2021 The set of standards describing the representation, entry and simplification rules of compo- nents on 2D drawings and 3D models is over 70 years old. Up to now, the technical draw- ings/3D models are not represented in accordance with the standards in many cases. For example, projection methods are often not used correctly. Furthermore, many things are represented in practice that are not regulated. This is due on the one hand to the outdated and rudimentary level of training, and on the other hand to the lack of a simple introductory work. This textbook remedies the situation by concentrating on the essentials: • You will be able to clearly represent title blocks, parts lists, scales and views and enter all the necessary information for them. • You will learn to apply projection methods correctly and thus to represent the com- ponent unambiguously. • You will be given an overview of the specification options required for unambiguous descriptions. • In addition to the standard contents, a practical procedure for the construction of technical drawings is included. It can be used as a template for your own compo- nents. This book will help you make better technical drawings and 3D models. It will help you avoid unnecessary and expensive reconciliations of ambiguous components. HANSER Foreign Rights Spring 2021 Contact: Gabriele.Josiger@hanser.de 9
Construction Introduction to Form and Position Tolerancing Geometric product specification for practice ISBN: 978-3-446-46727-9 150 pages, Paperack Publication date : April 2021 The complex topic of geometric product specification to the point The set of standards describing the tolerancing of components is over 40 years old. Up to now, technical drawings have not been specified in accordance with standards in many cases.
