      Croatian Deaf Sports Association is honored to arrange the 12th European Deaf
Handball Championship in Umag, Croatia, from 8th to 17th of January.
       This Bulletin contains relevant information concerning the Championship.
       More details and all necessarily information you can find online.
       We will do our best to offer and deliver you a great championship and experience
staying in Croatia.

Information about host city:

                                            Umag is little town and harbor at north-west
                                            part of Istria, with population of 13.467 people.
                                            History of Umag is well known as Humagum
                                            from written source back in 6th century, and
                                            after a turbulent past from that time till now,
                                            Umag became the economic center of
                                            northwestern Istria, and important touristic and
                                            sports center in Republic of Croatia.

As well known sport center, every year in Umag is held tennis
tournament ATP Croatia Open.
From 8th to 17th of January, Umag will be host of 12th European Deaf
Handball Championship.
Umag has known as town full of differences between modern and
traditional.
We are hoping you will discover Umag according to your preference during European Deaf
Handball Championship.

Registration Fee:
In case country take our package offer, it contain Registration Fee.
For other countries, who will book accommodation by their own, they have to pay Registration
Fee 300 €.
NOTICE:
CDSA will soon send you informations about Accreditation, please respect it’s deadline
so that we could make your accreditation on time.

Travel and transport information
During 12th European Deaf Handball Championship in Umag, Croatia for countries who take
accommodation package, it’s secure transportation from Zagreb Airport to hotel, hotel to
Zagreb Airport and from hotel to sport venue to training and official match and back.
In case country does not take offered package, and arrive by airplane, you take
organization of transportation and expenses for it from airport to hotel by your own.
For countries which will arrival by airplane, we offer arrival in Zagreb Airport Franjo
Tuđman.
Other closest airport is Trieste Airport, Italy, but if you arrive in Italy, you will have to arrange
transportation by your own, because accommodation package include ONLY transportation
from Zagreb Airport Franjo Tuđman.
According to COVID-19 pandemic, in this moment we are suggesting you Zagreb airport
Franjo Tuđman for arrival because arrival at Zagreb has no restrictions, but we can not
guarantee same restriction will be in January 2021.
CDSA will follow COVID-19 pandemic situation and inform you on time about all
restriction in Republic of Croatia.
At this moment, if you choose landing in Trieste Airport, Italy, according to italian rules,
for any entrance from Republic of Croatia in Republic of Italy, every single person has to
have negative COVID-19 test in last 72 hours and show it on entrance to Italy.
EXPENSES OF MAKING COVID-19 TEST EACH COUNTRY TAKE ON ITSELF
BECAUSE CROATIAN DEAF SPORTS ASSOCIATION DOES NOT COVER THIS
EXPENSES.
NOTICE:
CDSA will send you Transportation Form with information of arrival, please respect it’s
deadline so that we could arrange transportation on time.

Information about health secure and COVID-19 pandemic
During 12th European Deaf Handball Championship, CDSA will secure the highest hygiene
standard, according to measurement of Croatian Institute of Public Health.
Beside all necessary hygiene products, during Championship all participants will have all
information about COVID-19 pandemic, as well as medical support.
Regardless all that, we kindly ask you to respect all measurements of social distance and
hygiene during your stay in Republic of Croatia.
Please be aware we don’t have all information from each country about COVID-19 pandemic
measurements and action each government make according to it. Each country should get all
necessary information about travel from your government or Institute of Public Health.
   •   At this moment, entrance in Republic of Croatia is regular for citizen of European
       union.
   •   For participants who arriving from countries outside European union, for entrance
       in Republic of Croatia is necessary to have negative COVID-19 test in last 48 hours,
       and confirmation of accommodation and reason of staying in Republic of Croatia (we
       will provide you confirmation according to your claim).
Please, check in your country what do you need for participating European Deaf Handball
Championship, and let us know if you need anything from CDSA as organizer.
If you arriving to Trieste Airport, Italy, be aware you have to have negative COVID-19
test in last 72 hours to could be able to enter in Republic of Italy from Republic of Croatia
(departure from Republic of Croatia). Expenses of that test each country who decide to
arrive in Trieste Airport take on their own.
In Croatia, at this moment, price of COVID-19 test is 698,21 HRK.
CDSA will follow COVID-19 pandemic situation and provide you all necessary information in
future.

Please be responsible, take care of yourself, stay safe and health, follow instructions and
information about COVID-19 pandemic in your country.
