Crown acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land on which our resorts are located where we gather as employees, students, friends, and families. We take pride in paying our respects to Elders past and present. to the latest edition of the Crown College Alumni newsletter. One of the most interesting aspects of my role as Group General Manager, Learning and Development, is hearing about the admirable outcomes reported by our alumni, the exciting opportunities offered to our students and the quality of the education provided by our amazing learning and development team. This edition touches on all three of these aspects. The Feature Stories in this edition focus on the recipients of the Crown Melbourne and Crown Perth Training Awards for 2018. Crown’s Training Awards provide a unique opportunity for our aspiring graduates to showcase their current talents and future ambitions. Whether as a nominee, finalist or winner, all candidates develop their professional profile and receive well deserved 2 recognition for their achievements. 3 In this edition we introduce you to one of our Learning & Development professionals, Sera Hastie. Sera shares the story of her journey at Crown across various roles and how her own development and passion for training have led her to success with the Gaming Training Team. We also share information on the latest networks, associations, awards and connections available as a Crown College alumni member.
