Golden Bay 125th A&P Show BOOTH SCHEDULE 2022 THIS IS AN EARLY LIST OF THE CLASSES that will be available for entering into in the 125th Golden Bay A&P Show on the 15th January 2022. The full schedule containing sponsors, trophies, all animal classes and repeating the booth classes will be available in October 2021. This list of classes has been put out early on request from entrants to allow time for planning and creating booth entries over the winter months. For the 125th show some classes have been replaced with ideas from old catalogues, some have been added as new, or more modern classes and many of the old favourites that have stood the test of time remain. The Children’s section has been revamped to make the classes more fun, interesting and challenging. PRIZES FOR THIS 125TH SHOW HAVE BEEN INCREASED: All Adult classes to: 1st $15, 2nd $10, 3rd $5 (where applicable) All Children’s classes to: 1st $10, 2nd $5, 3rd $2 Entry fees remain at: Adults 50c, Children 20c per class Photography prizes as listed in Section 10 Photography entry $1.00 per class The full schedule containing Sponsors, Trophies and all classes will be available in October 2021

OATY GINGER SLICE, set recipe from Wholemeal Café, 3 pieces INGREDIENTS Icing: Base: 75g softened butter 150g butter 3/4 cup icing sugar 2 Tbsp golden syrup 2 Tbsp golden syrup 3/4 cup brown sugar 3 tsp ground ginger 3/4 cup desiccated coconut 1 1/2 cups rolled oats (grunty oats, not instant) 3/4 cup plain flour 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1 1/2 tsp ground ginger METHOD Preheat the oven to 180˚C (160˚C fan bake). 1. To make the base, put the butter, golden syrup and brown sugar into a medium–large saucepan and stir over a low heat until melted. 2. Remove from the heat and add all the dry ingredients to the saucepan. 3. Mix thoroughly. 4. Press into a greased or non-stick 20 x 30cm slice tin. Bake for 15–20 minutes. Longer means crunchier! 5. Mark into squares while still warm. 6. Make the icing by mixing the softened butter with the sugar, golden syrup and ginger. 7. Stir until very smooth. 8. Spread the icing over the cooled base and swizzle or decorate with a fork. 9. When completely cold, cut through the icing and separate the squares. 10. Makes 24 squares.
