These data points are used to compile a global ranking of the 77 jurisdictions, based on the complexity of their business environments in terms of legislation, compliance, accounting procedures, tax regimes, human resources (HR) rules and payroll procedures.

The introduction of such incentives could mean that, in the coming years, we may see a shift in offshoring away from the traditional jurisdictions such as Curaçao and the Cayman Islands to emerging players such as Hong Kong.
