1. Rachelle Carson Begley costars with her husband, Ed Begley Jr., on Living
With Ed, a green reality show about their life as environmentalists living off
natural energy in Los Angeles.

2. As the global energy manager of Whole Foods Market, Kathy Loftus focuses
on energy management as well as green building practices.

3. Jacqueline Lombard is the founder of Jacqueline Lombard Events, a
Brooklyn-based catering company that uses organic and local ingredients. Her
company recycles 75 percent of its waste, and she composts 20 percent of it
herself in her garden.

4. As a senior attorney with the Natural Resources Defense Council, an
organization working to protect people, the places they live and the natural
resources they depend on, Kate Sinding fights for eco-policies and laws.

5. Kelly Cox is the editor of the Natural Resources Defense Council's website

6. Elizabeth Royte is the author of Bottlemania, a book about protecting the
Earth's water-supply, and Garbage Land, a book about the trash crisis.

7. Margaret Lydecker is the U.S. head and founder of Green Drinks, an

seeks to connect green-minded people so that together they can help the planet.

8. Jeanie Pyun is the editor of sprig.com, a website geared toward inspiring
people to do just a few more things greener every day. The site also shows the
impact that small actions have on our planet.

9. Makeup artist Jessa Blades uses natural and organic products. She is the
founder of Blades Natural Beauty, which advises women on how to green up their
beauty routines.

10. As a managing director at the Environmental Defense Fund, a leading
nonprofit dedicated to coming up with solutions to the most pressing eco
problems, Diane Regas leads the group's Oceans Program.

11. Maria Tikoff Vargas is the brand manger for EPA's Energy Star, which
identifies and promotes energy-efficient products and practices. She is also the
director of strategic partnerships of the Climate Protection Partnerships Division
of the Environmental Protection Agency.

to raise eco-awareness through projects such as The 11th Hour, a documentary
about the need to change our environmental course before it's too late.

13. One of Glamour's Women of the Year in 2007, Alice Waters is the founder
and chef of Chez Panisse, an organic restaurant in Berkeley, California. A
trailblazer in her field, she urged people to eat locally, seasonally and organically
long before other restaurants were doing so. She also started the Chez Panisse
Foundation, which teaches children about the relationship between the food that
they eat their health.

14. Designer Jenny Hwa founded Loyale, an organic clothing line that strives to
create a balance between cutting-edge fashion and concern for the environment.

15. Cindy Kang is the executive director of Green Corps, an organization that
trains young organizers for the environmental movement.

16. Filmmaker Shalini Kantayya's most recent work is A Drop of Life, a sci-fi

37. Lisa P. Jackson is the administrator of theU.S. Environmental Protection

the environment. Nominated for the position by President Obama in December

environmentally friendly habits. She is also the founder of the Deirdre Imus
Environmental Center for Pediatric Oncology, a nonprofit research organization
devoted to identifying and eliminating pollutants.

45. Cammy Watkins is a coordinator for the Sierra Club's Cool Cities Program,
which pushes cities and city dwellers to adopt energy-saving solutions. The Sierra
Club is the oldest environmental organization in the United States, founded in
1892.

one.

53. Meteorologist Heidi Cullen is the climate expert at the Weather Channel as
well as a senior research scientist at Climate Central, which focuses on
distributing current research and information on climate change.

54. Sandra Keil is the vice president of Governmental Relations and Business

recycle.

55. As a program assistant for American Forests, Sheri Shannon promotes the
