on our team, our organization and the community,”
said Head Coach Jay Woodcroft. “We made sure

The Condors organization made sure Colby was
honored in the arena and a visible presence

                                                     prominent.

Due to the season being canceled and COVID proto-
cols in place, the group of Condors which enter-
tained thousands on that night, never got a chance
to be together. Never got to grieve together and
never had a chance to remember their teammate
together.

“Our heartfelt condolences go out to the Caves
and Emily,” Malone said. “There’s memories of him
that we still talk about within the locker room.
Especially for those who weren’t with us last
season, talking about him and the type of person

Colby Cave Memorial Fund
The Cave Family and the Edmonton Oilers have created the Colby Cave Memorial Fund to carry on the
memory and legacy of Oilers forward Colby Cave who passed away suddenly and tragically on April 11, 2020.

Proceeds from the fund will go toward community programs with an emphasis on mental health initiatives
and providing access to sports for underprivileged children.

Cave made a lasting impact both on and off the ice with the Edmonton Oilers and the AHL's Bakersfield Condors,
and before that with the Boston Bruins organization and the WHL's Swift Current Broncos. Cave was a
consummate professional, well-respected by teammates and opponents alike. He was also a committed and
positive member of the communities in which he played, eagerly volunteering for charitable initiatives and
always stopping to say hi to fans.

Donations to the Colby Cave Memorial Fund are being accepted by the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation
in Colby's memory.

TEDDY BEAR TOSS DRIVE THRU
The tradition lived on this year as the Condors hosted their annual Teddy Bear Toss
in drive thru fashion thanks to Three-Way Chevrolet, Eyewitness news and american
general media. Fans drove through a virtual rink and tossed over 2,000 teddy bears
for the United Way of Kern County!
