Benefits of Fundraising Fundraising is important to our school and benefits our families with the opportunity to offset tuition costs and strengthen our Catholic School Community by working together. Fundraising Goal Strong parental support of our fundraisers allows our school to function in a sound and prosperous manner. As a school community, we are committed to raising $250,000 to help maintain and balance our school budget. This handbook outlays the fundraising opportunities for the year and de- scribes each individual fundraiser and its profit percentage applied toward your fundraising goal. Fundraising state- ments will be sent home quarterly in the family folders. Each Pre-K through 8th grade school family is required to raise a $450 profit from the fundraisers or pay the balance by May 15, 2020. Families are not permitted to delegate fundraising goal overages to another family.
PAGE 7 HTCS 2019 -2020 FUNDRAISING HANDBOOK Fundraising Goal (continued) Families are also given the opportunity to “buy out” of fundraising for the school year. If you choose this option, you will need to pay $650 in full by August 30, 2019. In the event Holy Trinity families bring in fundraising prof- its over and above the school goal of $250,000, the funds will be used at the discretion of the Administration and PTO for facility and technology improvements. Any shortfall in your fundraising goal after April 30, 2020 will be billed to you for complete payment in its entirety. Any non-payment WILL affect your participation in extra- curricular activities, INCLUDING field trips and sports. The Family Goal How do I raise a $450 profit? During the school year, Holy Trinity’s PTO will organize seventeen (17) fundraisers for your participation, with profits directly applied toward your family’s fundraising goal. Two (2) Holy Trinity fundraisers (Bingo and Scrip) operate all school year long (May—April), while the remaining are spread throughout the school year.

PAGE 9 HTCS 2019 -2020 FUNDRAISING HANDBOOK BINGO (May 1st- April 30th) Holy Trinity Catholic School Bingo runs every Coordinator: Tuesday and Friday evening. This one fundraiser Bob Knopick profits our School over $60,000 per year. Each HTCS family is required to work one Bingo during Contact : the fundraising year. After working the required shift, a $50 credit is applied Fundraising Credit : to your fundraising goal. Approximate work time $50 for 1st (required) is from 5:30-9:30pm. $50 for 2nd (optional) Every HTCS family is required to have one mandatory bingo worked and/or scheduled by January 15, 2020. At this time, if you have not worked or scheduled this one bingo, a $175 fee will be added to your fundraising goal. The fee will only be removed if and when your one required bingo is completed. Families may also work an optional second bingo for a $50 credit. Scrip orders are turned in on Monday (or Fundraising Credit : Tuesday if the school is closed on Monday) 75% of Scrip Net Profit and your order is sent home on Thursday of the same week. Recognizing this @holytrinitycatholic.school need, local businesses will have the opportunity to support Holy Trinity Catholic Fundraising Credit : through our tiered Corporate Sponsorship 10% of sponsorship program. There are four sponsorship levels: Platinum ($2500+) Gold ($1000+) Purple ($500+) Guardian Angel (individual $100-$500)

You may obtain fundraising credit for securing a corporate sponsorship for our four major fundraising events: Guardian Fun Run Basket Bingo Night at the Races Golf Classic Call and/or email the business office and let Mrs. Crossman know who you would like to secure as a corporate sponsor and obtain a sponsorship form. Have the company complete the sponsorship request form and return it to the School. Once the sponsorship is completed and received in our business office, you will receive 10% of the total sponsorship toward your fundraising goal.
PAGE 13 HTCS 2019 -2020 FUNDRAISING HANDBOOK HTCS Football Extravaganza (“NFL Tickets”) (May-August) Ticket cost is $20 each, with a maximum of 3500 tickets available to be sold for this fundraiser. This fundraiser has potential to profit over Coordinator: $45,000 if all tickets are sold and TICKETS WILL Ben Jones SELL OUT. Contact : Every ticket has a unique combination of three alto0162@hotmail.com NFL teams for each week of the 17-week NFL regular season (Thursday - Monday). Each week Fundraising Credit : the final scores from each team are added $5 per ticket together for the tickets’ final weekly score. (Bye weeks assume the final score the team had in the previous week). The ticket with the highest weekly combination wins $500, second place $250, third place $100. The lowest score for the week wins $50. Cumulative scores are kept throughout the season and a grand prize of $3,000 is awarded to first place, $2,000 for second place, $1,000 for third place and $500 for the lowest scoring ticket of the season. Prize money for winning tickets is split evenly between winning tickets (if multiples occur). Unsold NFL Tickets must be returned by: Friday, July 26, 2019. Exchanging tickets with other school families for selling is highly discouraged. We ask that you please return all unsold tickets to the school office by the return date so that they can be properly redistributed to other HTCS families. Thank you

Our Great American Magazine Sale will kickoff Wednesday, August 28, 2019 and will be open for orders for only two weeks. PAGE 15 HTCS 2019 -2020 FUNDRAISING HANDBOOK Guardian Fun Run (August-September) Coordinators: *New this year* Bri Parrish Jessica Cassarly Our first annual Holy Trinity Guardian Color Fun Run is scheduled for Sunday, Contact : September 15, 2019 at 2:00pm and Brianna.Parrish29@gmail.com provides a great opportunity for families, jessicacassarly@gmail.com friends, and community to run for a great cause. Fundraising Credit : $5 per adult ticket The event will start and finish at Legion $10 for family Park in Hollidaysburg. The race route will take participants through a scenic path of the Borough, all while getting covered in colors at each powder station. Race fees are $25 for each adult runner, $10 for elementary children (PK-8), and free for any child under the age of 3. Each paid participant that registers before September 8, 2019 will receive a #SharetheSpirit t-shirt, along with a race bag full of fun accessories! A $5 fundraising credit will be earned for every adult ticket sold and $10 for family registration. The Guardian Fun Run event is a unique, family-friendly way to kick off the new school year and to #SharetheSpirit with our local community.

The fundraising brochure includes 9 types of gourmet 10-cup Contact : popcorn bags, 3 types of 8-ounce fudge, vhimes24@atlanticbb.net and 20-ounce containers of gummi bears, sour gummi bears, and peach rings. Fundraising Credit : 40% of gross sales Keep watching family folders for order sheets and for volunteer sign-ups to help sort orders. Bedford Candies will deliver products to each HTCS campus on a scheduled delivery date. Boscov’s Friends Helping Friends (October) You are invited to join the Holy Trinity School Community and be a part of Friends Helping Friends on Wednesday, Coordinator: October 16, 2019. Theresa Adams 100% of the pass proceeds benefit Holy Fundraising Credit : Trinity and the entire $5 per pass is $5 per pass credited to your fundraising goal. A delicious meal is provided for all attendees. You and your guests are sure to have fun. HTCS Holiday Cash Raffle (December) Christmas shopping? Here’s a chance to win cash for your holiday shopping! Coordinator: Each Holy Trinity family will be asked to Betsy Lehman sell twenty-five (25), $2.00 raffle tickets. Kelley Hall on January 11, 2020 for some male bonding time as we Coordinator: watch the Divisional round of the NFL Mark Bennett playoffs on a big screen, while sporting Shane Himes friendly competition with a free throw contest and corn hole tournament. Featuring video horse racing at its best, with current, high Contact : quality films of thoroughbred races, let us bring PTO@holytrinitycatholic.school you to the Derby and place you right on the track! Fundraising Credit : $10 per ticket Dress in your finest; with your derby hats and fascinators, and come be a part of this exciting HTCS premier event. This fun-filled evening will keep you entertained with 10 action-packed races, delicious Derby-faire food stations, horse betting booths, silent auctions, and more. You can even purchase your own horse for $20 in advance and create a humorous (albeit appropriate) name for your horse to be placed in the evening’s program. If your horse wins, you will receive the winner’s trophy and year- long bragging rights. Tickets are $50 per person, with $10 of each ticket sold crediting your family fundraising goal. A maximum of 400 tickets will be sold. Tickets must be purchased in advance and you must be 21-years or older to attend. This fundraiser has the potential to profit over $25,000. So, put this on your calendar and start inviting your family and friends to this amazing evening.

Did you know that in the 2018-2019 school year, more than 80% of Holy Trinity’s K-8 students participated in sports? Profits from our athletic fundraisers directly benefit our student athlete programs. We strongly recommend that if your child participates in Holy Trinity athletics, that you do your part and participate in all athletic fund- raisers. It’s a win, win situation! Participating in our Marianna’s Hoagie sales and Guardian Golf Classic helps support our student athletes AND helps you reach your fundraising goal. Fundraising credits can still be earned through these three fundraisers.

HOLY TRINITY CATHOLI C SCHOOL PAGE 22 Spirit Wear Sales: HTCS Spirit Wear New this year, we will be launching a HTCS spirit wear campaign, offering all new items, exciting new logos, and proving the opportunity to purchase spirit wear THREE (3) different times throughout the year. In September, you will be able to purchase Coordinator: Back to School items such as book bags, Kim Steward Guardian football wear, stadium supplies and new spirit wear for the fall. We will be partnering with Ravine for our spirit wear events; however, these items will only be made available through our direct sales, and will not be available for purchase at the Ravine store. The marginal profits made from these spirit wear sales will benefit the PTO for future community-building events. There will be no fundraising credit earned through these sales.

Our Family Formal will be held on Saturday, Coordinator: February 1, 2020, at the Maria Parish Center Alicia Lombardo-Jordan (Middle School Gym) to celebrate another successful Catholic Schools Week. Contact : PTO@holytrinitycatholic.school Dress in your formal Christmas attire and bring the entire family for a prom-like evening Fundraising Credit : filled with music, dancing, cupcakes and $20 per family fellowship. PAGE 25 HTCS 2019 -2020 FUNDRAISING HANDBOOK Key & Final Notes: Payment with one check only For reporting, audit trail purposes, and for the protection of our volunteers, we ask that you have all family, friends, and co- workers write their personal checks out to you for orders/ tickets. We kindly ask for each family to write one check made payable to Holy Trinity Catholic School for all fundraisers. PLEASE DO NOT SEND IN CASH. Participation Participation in any fundraiser is optional, with the exception of the one (1) mandatory bingo. Please keep in mind that we of- fer a multitude of opportunities throughout the year to reach your fundraising goal and we ask that you plan accordingly. Not meeting your fundraising goal Pursuant to all the offered fundraisers, we ask all of our families who retain a fundraising goal payable, to please pay the remain- ing balance by May 15, 2020. If your fundraising balance is not paid in its entirety by this date, your participation will be revoked in extra curricular activities, including field trips and sports. Additionally, you will be ineligible to receive requested “NFL tickets” for the following fundraising year until your balance is paid in full and you have completed all 2020-2021 registration requirements.

Our fundraisers are only successful if we have enough volunteers to help. Individuals are always needed to help with setting up, working, and cleaning up an event. We need more people to get involved and become active members of our Holy Trinity family. If you are interested in volunteering for any of our fundraisers, please reach out to the fundraiser coordinator. Every family should be prepared to volunteer for at least one fundraiser throughout the year for our school fundraising to be successful.
