After 3 Fringes at the German Club, we’ve discovered the HUGE SECRET of the Dom Polski Centre: still downtown
Adelaide and with great bars, bistro and 700-SEAT SHOWROOM that until now have been off the Fringe radar.
To celebrate our great find we’ve put together a program that makes the GRAND CENTRAL the Fringe’s MUSIC
CENTRAL, with a little comedy and drama on the side to make your GC Fringe complete.
The big new SHOWROOM is a concert wonderland, opening with the internationally acclaimed LENNON THROUGH A
GLASS ONION with John Waters, and closing with a reprise of the award-winning MY LEONARD COHEN with Stewart
D’Arrietta.
Once again we’ve worked with Rob Pippan Productions to deliver music legends and icons - BEEB BIRTLES, ROSS
WILSON and more - and some of the nation’s finest session and stage musicians performing the music of myriad
stars from the ‘70s to now. We also celebrate our new home with some wonderful cabaret, from ADAM HALL and
BOYS IN THE BAND to MICHAEL GRIFFITHS and AMELIA RYAN.
The GC is the ideal destination for those who want comfort away from the milling crowds: great theatres, spacious
foyers and bars, air-con and bathrooms that echo. Which is not to say that The GC isn’t a great place to have a pre-
or post-show drink with the best of Fringe atmosphere: our new venue (now with Street bar) is just that.
