About Us Professional Coaching To The Local Community Footstars Residential Course provides players the opportunity to train like a professional footballer, increase player skills and knowledge and the chance to be scouted by professional football clubs in our Internal Tournament at the end of the course. Footstars coaches delivering on the course are experienced FA and UEFA licensed coaches with enhanced DBS checks and first aid. Professional football clubs that our coaches have worked with are Ipswich Town, Norwich City, Peterborough United, Derby County, Birmingham City and Shrewsbury Town. “My son has attended the last three Footstars Residential How We Can Help Your School courses. He has thoroughly enjoyed both years due to the relationships he formed with the coaches and other players. In his first year he didn't know anyone attending but the coaches were great with getting him involved straight away. New for 2019 Entering our fourth year of residential courses, this year will be held at the impressive grounds of Framlingham College. The college is set in the historic town of Framlingham overlooking the famous Framlingham Castle. Players will experience being away from home in a fun environment that is stimulating for both older teenagers and younger players alike. Elements of training this year will include specialist Futsal coaching in the sports hall. State of the art swimming facilities included in this years training programme. Professional Content Our professional team of coaches deliver content on sports nutrition, sports psychology, tactical analysis and sports science to enhance players understanding and application to raise performance levels. This gives players an understanding of how the professional football environment operates. Players will receive an evaluation report based on performance, attitude and progress made on the course. Goalkeepers will receive a combination of goalkeeper specific training sessions and join in squad practices throughout the week.
Residential Life Players will sleep in bedrooms which accommodate 3-4 people with members of staff at the end of each corridor. Players receive 3 meals a day, with a selection of food and drink available cooked by the schools highly trained chefs. Our staff are responsible for the pastoral care of all those in our care and ensure that everyone is sleeping well, eating well, joining in, making friends and having a great time. During free time, teenagers are able to explore the campus with friends, whilst being supervised by their house coaches. Younger players will have the same opportunities but under more direct supervision. Players will require enough training kit and social wear for the 5 days including, shinpads, football boots, social footwear, sun cream, night wear, towel and a refillable sports bottle. Swim wear required for those booking with the swimming option. required Players can bring mobile phones at their own discretion, phone calls can be made during breakfast and dinner time. A recommended kit list will be sent to parents two weeks prior the course.
Internal Tournament At the end of the week, players will participate in the Internal Tournament as an opportunity to showcase themselves. Professional club scouts will be invited to attend. Parents are welcome to arrive early to watch the matches. In previous years, local professional football clubs such as Ipswich Town FC, Norwich City and Colchester United FC have had scouts in attendance.

Code of Conduct Remember, you are representing Footstars and whilst a participant on our summer residential you are asked to behave in a manner which will not bring into disrepute yourselves, parents/carers, coaches or team mates. Participants must: Be on time and ready to start the day. Wear suitable sportswear whilst attending the football training, including shin pads and boots. Jewellery must not be worn at matches or training for safety reasons. Abide by the rules of the game. Swearing, bullying, fighting will not be tolerated and the offending party may be disci- plined. At all times show respect to your coaches, staff, team mates and parents/carers. Treat the rooms, school hall, training areas and Framlingham College site as they would their own home, i.e. no damage to the property, all litter collected, particularly empty bottles, and placed in the appropriate bins. Behavioural Policy Footstars operate a ‘Three Strikes’ policy with regards to a participants behaviour. If a participant has to be disciplined then a strike will be noted against them. If the same participant is disciplined a second time, a call will be made to parent/carers. If the same participant receives a final strike, arrangements will need to be made for their removal from the course. No refund will be made. Breakages/ Damage to Property Please note that if a participant is responsible for any damage to the site or equipment used, full reimbursement for repair or replacement will be payable by parent/carer.
