The pre-season camp is a vital event in the Academy’s annual calendar, it helps our teams to start the season well. The camp offers players an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the Academy values and also provides a crucial team-building opportunity. It is expected that all players will attend without fail. The arrival date for ALL Academy players is Tuesday 31st August and players need to arrive at the College Reception on Main Campus between 9.00 am and 18.00 on that day. On arrival on the 31st August all players will; • Register with the FA Manager/FA Coaches • Register with the Director of Admissions & complete immigration & enrolment checks. • Undergo a health check with the Academy Sports Injury Therapist to ensure match fit. Any injuries must be declared. Any current medical issues will be discussed. Height & weight measured • Be issued with full FA kit & kit bag • Travel to Hull University Please refer to itinerary in this document for full day schedule PLEASE NOTE: Players arriving earlier than 31st August cannot be accommodated in college boarding accommodation unless quarantining and the College accepts no responsibility for BHCFA students until Tuesday 31st August Players must look at alternative independent accommodation if they plan to arrive in the UK prior to the 31st. 2|Pag e

We are going to stay at Courtyard(53) and use the International Sport Arena(30), Sport and Fitness Centre (47) and the football pitches (grass and artificial) what you can see on the top. First Aid provision & implementation will be managed by Kieran Bedford (Football Academy Sports Injury Therapist) It is essential the Academy is informed of any current / previous medical conditions and injuries. Any player bringing medication MUST discuss their health needs with Kieran at Registration on the 31st August Safeguarding Responsibility: George Foster (College Deputy DSL attached to Football Academy) Planned activities: During the pre-season event the group will be able to experience a number of activities in an organised schedule, as well as a number of activities outside of this schedule based on individual enjoyment. Primarily the groups will be involved in football related practises to assess ability and fitness levels, as well as implementing BHCFA philosophies. Possible afternoon activities available as below: Swimming, Gym, Sightseeing Additional Information: Below is a list of items that the players should ensure they bring with them in a rucksack/’weekend’ case or bag: • Running Trainers / Gym Trainers • Football Boots – Hard Ground and Grass • Astro Turf / Indoor Trainers • Personal Toiletries • Change of clothes to cover up to 4 evenings. • Any personal medication –must be specified on consent Form • Swimming attire • Sports Drinks Bottle • Towel • Shin pads • Foam roller Academy Training Kit will be provided upon arrival at the College however it is advised that players bring their own blue shirt and shorts, in case the size of kit given is not comfortable. 4|Pag e
IMPORTANT FOOTWEAR NOTIFICATION FOOTWEAR on 3G and 4G pitches at Harborough Town Football Club The College has been instructed that the only footwear permissible on the new artificial 4G pitch will be rubber stud football boots which are clean and not covered in mud. No other footwear e.g. metal studs blades or trainers will be allowed on the surface. This requirement will also apply to the existing 3G. Any player not wearing the correct footwear will not be allowed on to the artificial pitches and the club will be applying this policy rigidly. PERSONAL PREPARATION FOR PRE SEASON As the season starts the week following pre-season camp all players should arrive fully prepared and fit having followed a personal training regime over the Summer period. ACCOMPANYING PARENTS & PRE SEASON Parents that are accompanying players to the UK are welcome to visit the Director of Ad- missions at the Fountain Court Admissions & Marketing Offices on arrival. The Admissions Office will be holding an ‘Open House’ on 31st August for any parents that would like to drop in. You will be able to discuss any last minute queries, take a copy of your child’s BRP card (Tier 4 visa holders) & lodge any pocket money. We will not however be able to con- duct any tours of the campus or accommodation as the College does not open until Satur- day 5th September. Parents will be able to meet the Academy Manager & Coaches at the PK Building on 31st August from 14:00-17:00. Parents wishing to visit Hull University to watch a training session are welcome to visit the Sports Centre on Friday Morning and Saturday Morning Sessions. You will need to provide your own transport & please advise the Football Academy Manager of your plan so he is aware of visitors. 5|Pag e
