ABOUT COGITATE TEAM
Lily Grace Cummings originally from Clemson, SC, moved to NYC at the age of 14 , and graduated from
Joffrey Ballet School. Currently, Lily is the artistic director of Flair Entertainment NYC, Inc. as well as a
performer with Alice Farley Dance Theater, and is the box jumper for Magician & Illusionist TJ Tana. Lily
was a headliner in Mexico at Act II stages with NYC Dance Collaborative, was showcased as a dancer
in Six Flags’ cirque show, Unleashed, and has performed in NYFW as a dancer for Louis Vuitton. She’s
also appeared in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as well as MTV’s show, Say It in Song. Lily was an
assistant in Joffrey Ballet School’s NYC summer intensive, and currently teaches at numerous schools in
NYC. @ms.lilygrace

Alexzandra Knapp is a Pittsburgh-born, New York-based artist; a 2016 graduate of Joffrey Ballet
School’s Jazz & Contemporary Program. Alex has been a choreographer’s assistant to Maleek
Washington, Candice Michelle Franklin, and Sekou McMiller. She is currently dancing with both Flair
Entertainment NYC and Patrick O’Brien Dance Collective. As a choreographer, Alex creates for dark pop
activist singer, Roxiny - her work is featured in Roxiny’s live performances and music videos for Goliath
and Golden Prophet. Recent performance credits include: AWS Summit Berlin; People Magazine Español;
Bryant Park Dance Festival; Panorama Music Festival; Nicole Wolcott, Elisa Monte Dance. Off the stage,
Alex works as a production coordinator, yoga teacher, and nightlife promoter. Alex hopes to continue
performing, creating, and inspiring others throughout her career. @a1exzandra

Michelle Palatucci started her training in Australia at Dance North Academy and Tanya Pearson Classical
Coaching Academy, before being accepted to Joffrey Ballet School NYC; where she completed her four-
year diploma in dance. Upon graduating Michelle joined AsArts NY Contemporary Ballet Company, where
she presented at Dixon PlaceTheater and The Manhattan Movement and Arts Centre by director Heidi Yu.
Michelle Joined Flair Entertainment NYC in 2017 under the direction of Lily Cummings performing original
works around NY. Michelle was hired by BAVA Dance to perform at their debut performance at Bryant Park
Contemporary Dance Festival in 2019 after working closely with director Talissa Bavaresco. Michelle is
currently an apprentice dancer at Jennifer Muller/ The Works. @michelle_palatucci

Dylan Balka is a NYC-based dance artist, choreographer, and teacher, currently working with Flair
Entertainment NYC, Pony Box Dance Theatre, Mignolo Dance, and other freelance projects. While at USC,
Dylan interned with Dancers Responding to AIDS (DRA), a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS

and Gibney Dance as a Digital Media Initiative Intern. Dylan also produced the second annual Spring
Showcase of the SC Choreographic Collective, and implemented a philanthropic initiative that raised over
$2,000 for DRA at USC. Currently, He serves as director of the Dylan Thomas Project under the nonprofit
Misfit Angels Network, a program that provides financial support and mentorship to young artists that
wish to pursue their artistic talents and passions. Dylan strives to blend his passions for performance,
collaborative creation, and activism into his artistic career. @dylan.balka

Native of Brazil and New York City based, Talissa Bavaresco is a Dancer and Choreographer with
expertise in Classical Ballet, Jazz and Modern Techniques, as well as the Theater and Commercial
world. Graduate from the Joffrey Ballet’s Jazz & Contemporary Program, Talissa has performed with
dance companies such as Keigwin+Company, Jennifer Muller/The Works, Joffrey Ensemble, Humans
Collective and Jazz Ain’t Dead, and in independent works by Tyler Gilstrap, Gabrielle Lamb, Patrick O’Brien,
Manuel Vignoulle, and Mark Caserta. Choreographically, Talissa has presented her works at Bryant
Park Contemporary Dance Series, DUMBO Dance Festival, Dixon Place’s 8 in Show, The New York Jazz
Choreography Project, JCE Jazz Dance Project, RAWartists, WAXworks, HATCH Presenting Series, Holi Hai

Yvonne McCauley is grateful to be working with such creative and hardworking artists making art with
a purpose. Yvonne is from Denver, Colorado. She received her Vagonova ballet training at Colorado
Ballet and Classical Ballet of Colorado under her mentor, Elizabeth Shipiatsky. She studied at Boston
Ballet, Denver School of the Arts, Kirov Academy of Ballet, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, Lemon Sponge Cake
Contemporary Ballet, and spent the last two years as a Jazz & Contemporary Trainee with Joffrey Ballet
School. She is grateful to have a brother that is always there to support and inspire her. Thank you, Ian.

Caleb Austin began professional training In 2014 at The Joffrey Ballet School where he performed
works for several notable choreographers such as Nathan Trice, Sekou McMiller, Rena Butler, Lane
Gifford, and Patrick O’Brien. After Joffrey, he found work with Maleek Washington as well as Justin Giles’
Soul Escape. He has worked commercially as well, as seen in HBO’s Random Acts Of Flyness by Terrance
Nance, choreographed by Domani Pompey. He most recently performed at Battery Dance Festival with
MATHETA dance, performing excerpts from Buya , the company’s first full length piece, initially presented

Savannah A. Priest began her training at The Academy of Nevada Ballet Theatre in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She has performed works at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts under the direction of James
Canfield, while attending high school as a dance major at the Las Vegas Academy of Performing Arts.
While still in school Savannah was accepted to join the Joffrey Ballet School as a Jazz and Contemporary
Trainee. After performing work with choreographer Hana Kozuka at locations such as Dixon Place
and Triskelion’s Summer Festival, Savannah joined Flair Entertainment NYC under the direction of Lily
Cummings in 2018. Savannah is currently developing her artistic capabilities with Flair Entertainment
NYC while focusing on her career in sales. @savannahpriest

Whether it’s up close or on stage, ( Guest Artist) TJ Tana‘s mind-blowing illusions collide with his electric
personality and hysterical antics, making for a truly unforgettable experience. At only 18 years old, TJ
was one of the youngest ever performers to grace the grand stages of Las Vegas at the Planet Hollywood
Resort and Casino. By 23, TJ’s performances have been seen in over 8 countries and 3 continents. TJ is
known for his performances on the Masters of illusion LIVE tour and his behind the scenes work with the
touring cast of “The Illusionists, Turn of the Century” working in such esteemed venues such as the Dubai
World Trade Center and the Sydney Opera House. Famous comedian Gilbert Gottfried calls TJ’s magic
“Amazing!”.

Sarah Toumani (Guest Artist) is a French-Algerian dancer and choreographer based in New-York City.
She is an alumna from the professional division of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and has
performed works by numerous artists and companies. She founded her own company in 2017, working
alongside street artists. Her first work was premiered with Brooklyn Ballet in 2018. Sarah strives for
integrity, creative fusion, and to raise awareness of social issues through the body’s universal language.

ABOUT COGITATE TEAM
A San Francisco Bay Area native, Meagan Ahern (Guest Artist) graduated with a BFA from SUNY Purchase
Conservatory of Dance with a Concentration in Composition in May 2019. She has since founded her
project-based company MEAGmove. Meagan has presented work at the 2019 American Dance Guild
Festival at the Ailey Citigroup Theater and the 2019 Fall Immersive Dance Festival at Triskelion Arts.

Gabriela Vazquez Tinoco (Guest Artist) started as an emerging choreographer in 2015 exploring
movement based on music inspiration, finding and developing a language that it’s defined from the
artistic influence of Latin America. Gabriela’s choreographic work continued developing with the support
of Gibney Dance and Mark Morris Dance Center. Gabriela has presented her choreographic works
professionally since July of 2017 at events including: “The Hispanic Heritage Festival of Westchester”,
“International Ballet Festival of Union City”, ”Head and Company Fall Festival”, “The Craft NYC”, “The Hudson
Valley Fall Festival” and now at Flair Entertainment NYC, Inc.’s “Cogitate.” @gabrielavazquezt

Flair Entertainment NYC, Inc. produces original work and opportunities for young artists to work, learn, and
grow together in a cutting edge environment in order to bring positivity, awareness, and support. Often
collaborating with musicians and circus artists, Flair has presented work at The Martha Graham Theater
and Webster Hall, guest performed at Tuohy Hall, Gibney, Riverside Theater, and St. John The Divine, and
has produced evening length performances and benefit galas at The Muriel Schulman Theater at Triskelion
Arts and Bridge For Dance. Company members participate in outreach workshops hosted by Flair in
