I am happy to present the new Pointed Leaf Press catalog for Fall 2022 and
am grateful for the continued support of our loyal team, our authors, and all
the people who have helped us get our books out to the big, wide world. We
are especially thankful to our readers, who continue to appreciate what we
set out to do when I founded the company in 2002. Pointed Leaf Press has
grown to become one of the top—and award-winning—publishers of
illustrated books in the worlds of interior design, architecture, fashion, art,
and photography. As a former art historian, and after more than 35 years as
a journalist, editor, and reporter at publications such as the New York Times,
and numerous magazines—including New York, Esquire, House & Garden,
and O at Home—I am still fascinated by the careers and accomplishments—
as well as the intimate and powerful stories—of the talented people in the
creative fields that are so influential in, and essential to, the world in which
we live. At Pointed Leaf Press, we work closely so that all of our books are
designed, produced, and edited to the highest standards. Each title is
individually suited to the needs and aspirations of its author—whether to
feature the work of top interior and garden designers and architects or to
introduce the work of legendary and contemporary photographers. Collecting,
a lifelong passion, is another focus of many of our books, offering a glimpse
into subjects that are both original and stimulating. New noteworthy titles

Sunshine and James McMullan are the authors of new books on their work,
each representing an oeuvre born of a lifetime of artmaking. We are also
re-introducing, in an updated edition, our classic and best-selling monograph
on the iconic modern furniture designer, Vladimir Kagan, who died in 2016.
