THE ROOM TO ROAM Located just beyond the animal hospital, the African Adventure area was created in 2019 to group together the zoo’s animals native to Africa. The serval's new habitat is four times larger than its previous one. The serval now has room to stretch those legs, which are the longest of any cat relative to its body size. With a golden-yellow to buff coat marked with spots and stripes, you’ll have to keep your eyes peeled to find her. Additional habitat space provides the serval with a sense of security that is critical to successful breeding programs. “All of the upgrades happening at the zoo make being an animal keeper even more fun.
