If yes, you need to know about a new group program that includes education and specific exercises that will teach you how to use the muscles around the joint to reduce pain and improve function. Used widely in Canada and many other countries, it has been shown in many research studies to be effective. The first group will begin this fall and run for 9 weeks at the Castlegar and District Recreation Complex. Participation will be by referral but we are working hard to secure permanent funding from Interior Health. Should that happen, the program will be open access. If you are interested in participating in this program or in a future session please email support@kbpa.ca with your contact information and we will schedule an interview to determine your eligibility. October 8 - November 28 Tuesday and Thursday 5:30 – 6:30 pm A deposit of $100 will be required, however, participants who complete the program will receive a refund of $75. Subsidies are available.
