UPDATES Coming to a playground near you… After over a year of consultation, feedback and updates to the concept plan, we are getting closer to the exciting construction phase of our project. The new design will incorporate play features for a range of ages and abilities and will allow our growing community to enjoy a safe, inclusive and fun play environment. While we will say goodbye to much of the existing equipment, we are eager to see new custom structures and items, built to complement the natural setting of Douglas Park. Our wading pool will remain until future work is done on water play features across the City. Thank you to our donors! With your help, the Douglas Park Community Association will contribute over $460,000 towards the project, adding to the $350,000 in capital funding from the Park Board. We will continue to fundraise for future park improvements and look forward to keeping you informed and engaged regarding any further park development plans.
